We have a ceiling fan whose light fixture takes these hard to find J style bulbs. If the bulb is inserted properly they last a long time. The key is properly inserting the bulb, it can be tricky. In our fixture, there is a spring load to one side, it does not directly twisted horizontally into place. However, once inserted into position we did have to twist it to make proper contact. It took some moving the bulb around once inserted for it to work. These halogen bulbs burn hot! So don’t insert with the fixture on. We had a hard time determining the bulb to buy. There are no markings on the bulb but luckily the light fixture said it took a J bulb, 3 1/16thâ€, which is 78mm. Each bulb in this 4 pack is individually wrapped in bubble wrap and boxed separately inside one larger box. Great care was taken to ensure the bulbs are protected. The price is excellent but these bulbs might be slightly less bright than what burned out. I will update if the bulb fails prematurely.

Provides great light and was easy install in my 20 year old ceiling fan light. I used cotton gloves to handle the bulb installation to prevent hand oil from contaminating the bulb. Price was good also. LED replacement style bulb didn't last very long nor was it very bright.

Half of them came with the coil broken. The ones that did work, only worked for a short time. If you do order them, check them all before your return date passes!

I went to my local store to find them and they were out. Quick shipping and these were half the price of the ones at the store. I was initially worried about receiving them broken but they were boxed beautifully and all 5 were fine.
