This is a well designed corkscrew, which centers over the lip of the bottle, positioning the tip of the screw at exactly the right location so you don’t gouge up the cork because you’ve started at an angle.One challenge of using a corkscrew is that you have to ensure that you start at the right place. Too far to the left or right and you’re liable to have the cork break apart on you.This corkscrew from Rabbit works great as you simply place the housing over the bottle and press and turn the screw into exactly the right location. A hefty handle drives the sharpened screw in precisely, causing the two handles to rise to a point where the cork is then easily extracted in its entirety, so you won’t get chunks of cork floating in your wine.I liked it for it’s professional looks and ease of operation. Very easy to clean, the zinc plated metal protects against corrosion and the plastic housing simply wipes clean.Instructions for use are clearly printed on the box with photo-illustrations just to make things clear. Overall very easy to use and attractive.On top of that, they provide a nice bottle opener just in case your friends prefer a different kind of beverage.

Good quality and feels sturdy. Removes corks easily, but our one complaint is that it’s hard to get the cork off of the screw after removal. Need a better way to grip the cork so you can untwist and remove it from the corkscrew.

Nothing super special about this and I guess maybe I was expecting more. I miss my old wine opener that I got probably 20 years or more ago. It was a Tavernello brand and it was amazing and finally after all these years, it finally broke down. So silly me I thought oh it’s OK. I’ll just get another one… They are practically extinct now.So I got this one and it just works ok. I have had it break the cork, and my old one never once broke a cork. Honest opinion…

The ‘wings’ are tricky and after just two uses the wings are stuck down and there is no way to get the cork out even. It is a simply defective design.

This corkscrew is different from simpler designs in that it has two "arms" on each side to pull the cork out so you don't have to twist and pull it manually. After placing the center on the top and screwing in the screw, pushing down the sides gently pulls out the cork so there is no struggle to get the cork out. The corks I tried didn't split or fracture when using this to remove them because the design makes the screw go down into the cork from a central point so its pretty even in piercing the cork. The design is very good for making it easy. I liked that the handle on the top was large and easy to rotate. There really weren't any demerits to this. It looks nice for a kitchen tool and functions as expected.

First off, this Rabbit Wing Corkscrew is VERY well made and feels like a quality opener. We currently have some Rabbit vacuum wine stoppers so I already knew that the quality would be there. I appreciate that the bottom of the opener slips over the lip of the bottle and serves as a guide to center the corkscrew. As long as you keep the opener level, you get a perfectly centered cut down through the cork every time. Nothing worse than the corkscrew going off to the side and then we end up pulling out pieces of cork. The side wings elevate as you twist the handle to lower the corkscrew down into the bottle; pushing the wings down then easily lifts the cork out.The built-in bottle opener in the handle was a thoughtful touch, a two for one opener! This would be a great addition to anyone’s camping or tailgating equipment too. I’m very happy with this product.

I've always seen the Rabbit Corkscrew and thought it looked really convenient and easy, so it was fun to finally try it. Yes, it does make uncorking a bottle easy! The finish is nice enough, with textured black plastic and smooth metal gearing. It actually has a bit of weight to it that I didn't expect, but it's not necessarily heavy or unwieldy.To use, you just place it over the bottle and start turning into the cork. When the levers on the sides lift up above a 90 degree angle, you press them down and the cork pops out. Easy peasy.The only thing I would mention is that there is no foil cutter on the Rabbit Corkscrew, and trying to use the end of the screw as I would on a typical wine key does not work because it is hidden in the large plastic housing. I tried looking it up and Rabbit also sells foil cutters separately. Seems kinda silly to have to purchase a separate foil cutter and find space in your cupboard for two items just to open a bottle of wine.Overall, this item functions pretty smoothly. I would recommend it for anyone who struggles with a traditional wine key, with the caveat that you will need to purchase a separate foil cutter to use it.
