Im going to give this a 5 star only because of its uniqueness, simplicity, and the fact it does as advertised.Thoughts: the tool is kinda thin and I was worried it would be flimsy, but in using it it's pretty sturdy and consistent so I'd call it budget in terms of quality. But it does exactly as advertised and my knuckles and fingertips are grateful.The value of this thing is entirely in the functionality of the tool. I'd say compared to other tools of a similar price point it's the cheapest feeling tool in my box, for a higher price. but as stated above its reliable and works really well! It It makes installing the cage nuts an absolute breeze. It feels kinda clunky at first but once you get a rhythm going you could install cage nuts for a whole rack in 1/4 the time.The one fail point I found was if there's a lip in the way of the hole (like where you'd install these for vertical rails in some racks like sysrack) it's absolutely useless. But on standard rails it's a godsend. Again, 5 stars goes entirely to the uniqueness and functionality.I won't mark this down that it won't work with ubiquiti nuts because it literally says right in the description and specs that it's not compatible. It's a nice tool to have and it's a nice conversation piece for fellow data center engineers

Works like a charm! Saves you from busted knuckles and bleeding fingers. We learned the hard way, you don't have to.

The good:- Generally (~80%) works very well. The other 20% you may have to adjust where the nut sits in the teeth. Much less pain on the fingers.The bad:If someone put the rack nuts in vertically, does not work.Would definitely buy again. Saves much pain.

The first tool I ordered was missing a link that closed the jaws so I returned it. A replacement was quickly shipped. The tool is nicely made and holds those pesky cage nuts securely.The tool is very slim allowing it to be used in tight spaces.

I wish I had bought this tool years ago when dealing with rack nuts that refuse to cooperate! The only downside is that you can't use this to remove rack nuts that have been installed vertically. Otherwise, this thing should be in every network rack builder's tool bag!

This product advertises support for StarTech.com M6 Cage Nuts but the cage nuts I purchased do not stay clamped down. Even the cage nuts that came with my StarTech server rack were impossible to install. This tool might be good but the instructions are horrible and it definitely doesn’t support StarTech cage nuts.After spending another 3 hours with the tool, I apparently was putting the nut in the tool wrong, but I stand by the compatibility comment of my original review. The tool is not well documented, is large and difficult to handle, and isn’t the best server rack but tool by far.
