I bought the less expensive rope from the same company and it lasted less than a season before the black neoprene float sleeves split. This one doesn’t have sleeves. It floats for a while. But, no, it doesn’t float. We don’t really care. Neither does it sink like a rock. I like the straight handle. I use my friend’s curved handle it doesn’t allow me to pull as well side to side in the course. Just a personal preference. Spend the extra bucks and get this one. The rope “seasons†as quick as the lesser priced “sleeves†rope. I believe it’s the same rope. It’s just a better handle. And the handle is worth it. It’s as simple as any sectional rope to take off line. There are no distance-off labels on this sectional rope - just the colors.

Rope is well put together. Pre stretched and didn't notice any stretch skiing on it. Colors are bright and not washed out.

Yes this rope is expensive but it's absolutely worth it. I have used Radar ropes for years and this one was to replace one that was over seven years old. So if they last for that many years the price isn't as high as you think. I use this for wakeboarding and salmon skiing and I have used it to teach the kids to ski. The good is it's quality and feel in your hands. The down side is that yes the handle does sink so you have to pay attention as you are picking up a down skier. I will absolutely buy this one again when I need another rope.
