Revised - Product ReviewInstalled on a 2014 VW Beetle 1.8 Turbo. Fan shroud was in perfect condition. Removal of old fan shroud assemble, super simple. Installation of new fan shroud assemble was simple as well. Just took a little adjusting to get the left hand side in place above lower radiator hose. Bolts all lined up. The electrical 4 plug hosing was in backwards. Simple to remove the plug from the house and flip so it could be reconnected. Its been installed for almost a week. Working fine. I would say its about the same noise lvl as the OEM one.Swapped out the fan assemble because ac fan had a crack in the housing. This caused the fan to wobble and make a loud thumping sound when AC was on.old comments...- Had a car out of commission due to radiator fan broke. Paid to get this product by Saturday. Did not show up until Sunday. I installed it and it works. Happy to adjust my comments when reimbursed for paid for rush shipping.

Hard to rate properly. The product was damaged when it arrived, (for that I want to give a 2 star) the bottom left was broken, as others have mentioned. Must have happened during shipping to all of them to the warehouse. However I just took the fans off the new unit and put it on the old frame and it was a direct fit, screws holes, length of cables, and plugs all perfect. I lined the new frame up to the old and it seems like ti was a good fit. You need a T25 with 1/4 ratchet (smaller is better, the space is tight on 2 bolts, preferably a slight wobble extension (and it is tight)), a flat head screwdriver, a 18mm torx to take the protection undercarriage off, and a 10mm socket to swap the fans. Aslo ramps to lift the car. All together it took me less than 40 minutes (3 beers) to complete with getting up to get new tools. Getting the fan out the bottom can bee a bit tough but you will figure it out, the left side is the issue as you lay on your back so get that part in first. Worth every penny for the price paid. I hope I dont need to buy again but would get the same unit.

Works well and eliminated the errors since only 1 fan would with my original unit. Good buy for the money.

These fans fit perfectly and were a fraction of the price of the parts houses..

No es la referencia para el vw jetta 2008. Ya que es ligeramente mas grande y no puede casar con los tornillos y el espacio.Me coto quitar los motores y ventiladores y acomodarlos con la carcaza anterior que aun estaba buena.

This part slid in easier than the old one came out. Fit perfectly and turned on without issue and is still running great two months after.

If you have a Mk.V Jetta/Golf 2.5L and are trying to replace your broken fan assembly, DON'T DO THIS TO YOURSELF. I STRONGLY recommend against this specific fan assembly, despite its low price.I have no idea how the fan assembly got damaged so thoroughly in delivery, but nonetheless, virtually ALL of the plastic for both the fan blade/motor mounts are about as thick as the handle on a disposable plastic knife you get in a pack of 100 at any Dollar Tree.I WISH I was exaggerating, but if you're doing the fan assembly removal & install yourself (like I am) and for some reason decide to go with this one, for the love of 5-cylinders engines, FIRST: CHECK AND COMPARE the integrity of each and every bit of plastic connecting the fans to rectangular assembly structure on the new part to check for damage and also to compare the difference in material, SECOND: COMPARE the rigidity, material thickness and strength of the Factory/OEM part (VERY THICK, zero flex at room temp) you're taking out to replace with THIS item (SUPER THIN, bends at room temp, most likely becomes worse after heat cycling) which I can only describe as a horrific excuse of an OEM replacement. You can easily avoid being me here, someone who doesn't usually go into detail on product reviews from Amazon, by saving yourself the trouble and getting yourself a higher quality component for $10-$30 more.

Ordered this for my 2005.5 Jetta BRM, and the first one was broken on arrival. When the replacement arrived it was fine, and installing it was easy enough. It worked fine for a few months, but I sold the car, so I can only speak for the few months it was installed. It worked fine the entire time, and I would think its still okay now. Dropped a star for the poor packaging, but aside from that its fine.
