I have several root slayer tools. My favorite is the Trowel. It seems like I use it all the time when gardening, especially weeding. My wife likes to use it, too, so we’re always asking the other to hand over the Trowel. I ordered the Soil Knife for just that. Now we each have a tool we can use. Plus, the Soil Knife is like having half a Trowel and its smaller size offers different applications, especially in tight areas. It fits well in the hand. And, like all Root Slayer tools, it is extremely well made from heavy steel that’s not going to bend or break when you use it to lever or pry. Be careful! The split end is sharp.

Very sturdy while light weight. Easily cuts into the dirt and uproots weed root systems. The narrow blade is much more precise than a regular garden shovel. It quickly became my GoTo weeding tool.

Great tool... sharp with a serrated edge. Great for digging and transplanting. Just keep your other hand out of the way! Cuts really well!

This is definitely the single most useful hand tool I have ever had for the garden. It easily digs a hole to plant a new plant, or quickly gets under a week to get it all down to the roots. I have had one for several years and we had to buy a second one because we both always wanted that particular tool.This is a well made tool that should last for years. 100% satisfied with my purchase and have often recommended it to others.

So this is a multi-purpose garden tool that's at least OK for digging, cutting, chopping, and sawing. Works well on many kinds of weeds that have to be removed by hand. Seems extremely durable.The edges were a long way from sharp when it arrived, which is often the way, and they took some work to file down. This is not a flimsy item. It's not a great trowel or a great knife, but it's both, and if you need to destroy weeds below the surface of the soil or hack down vines that don't rate a hatchet or loppers, here you go.

I purchased the root slayer shovel and it was 100% great so I bought the garden hand tool. This is just as functional. It pries, cuts, scoops, and uproots like a dream. Worth the money. I don’t baby my tools and this is holding up just fine.

Nachdem ich vom Stechspaten dieser Firma begeistert bin, wollte ich auch einen entsprechenden Unkrautstecher. Das Gerät ist wirklich robust und durch eine gezähnte und eine scharfe Seitenkante auch ideal zum Ernten und Säubern. Das Ding ist seinen Preis absolut wert!

Ich als Schatzsucher nutze das Teil natürlich als Grabungsmesser. Es liegt gut in der Hand und die Klinge ist sicher befestigt. Auch bei schwierigen Böden konnte ich damit manchen Schatz ans Tageslicht befördern. Schön fände ich es aber dennoch, wenn man auch das Holster gleich mit im Paket bekommen würde. Ich habe es mir extra bestellt, da es ausverkauft war. Ich konnte das Gerät auf der Schatzsucher Meisterschaft in den Niederlanden testen. Auch im Regen hatte ich damit immer einen sehr sicheren Umgang.
