The hammer I received has a much longer forged hole for receiving the wooden handle than what is pictured. After throwing my last chipping hammer away (different company and design) for hafting failure ... I'm glad I threw the P.O.S. away! Also, the hammer I received had absolutely a First-Class hafting job, in every way. I paid a little more, I received a very durable tool, and a BIG SMILE!
