Got this for my son for Christmas. He loves to drum but we hate hearing it all the time. This allows him to plug in headphones to it so we can’t hear him playing. He loves it!

My 3 year old grandson like to bang on things so I bought him this for Christmas. He loves it. I purchased some headphones so he can play it with out others hearing the noise.

Grandpa is a drummer, so of course the kids always want to practice and learn. This pad is awesome!! Not only is it so fast and easy to set up, as opposed to setting up a full drum kit, but it allows them to practice anytime (even quietly, since you can plug in headphones).Now, in no way does this replace a drum set, nor does it have the exact feel of drums, but learning sounds, beat, rhythm, timing and composition can be done with this pad.If I were going to give any critique, which is expected and very minor, it would be that it is rolled so it didn't initially sit flat so the contact wasn't always hitting with sound. And you have to make sure it's on a surface that helps keep it flat and able to strike well. The kids don't notice little things like that and they love this so much. Grandpa gives them little drills to practice so they enjoy being able to take the little mat with them. And for me, the fact that you can plug in headphones is amazing. We aren't too savvy with the tech part of it so we don't have it hooked up to any computers or music programs, so I can't speak on that, but overall, even without, it's a winner in this house.
