I like the wireless feature and its function to stop the irrigation system after a rain. So far, the rain sensor and control unit work hand in hand and I like the graphic of rain collection on the controller. Easy to pair.

I have really appreciated having this sensor. We had a similar one for a sprinkler system years ago and while this is similar it is vastly improved. The controls on the inside or the garage are very well laid out and easy to understand, with the flexibility to do control the sensor in multiple ways, including how long after a rain the sprinkler system is re-engaged.In addition, it came well-packaged and it was very easy to attached to the sprinkler control box.I would highly recommend this unit.

I connected this to my ARC6 and it is very, very easy to use. So far it seems great....been receiving some rain of late and it certainly works. However, I will be happy when I know the EXPENSIVE wireless rain gauge part of this lasts me some years. Time will tell. If it last's 6-8 years, then yes, it is worth the cost. I keep reading how people are returning it because of 'gunk' on the battery. OMG...really? That's called dielectric grease and eat keeps the water and moisture from touching the battery while still allowing electrical contact. So far, I do recommend it.

I trust Rainbird and I think this sensor will be great. Love the ability to adjust rain amount trigger on the electronic panel and not having to clime up to the sensor. Removing sensor for maintenance does not require tools - which is great. The only issue I had is that the mount would not clip on my (standard) gutters. I was hoping that I could just mount on the gutter when purchased this, so it was a bit of a disappointment.

Hooked up to my Orbit controller seamlessly and works great. The quick reference guide has the right wiring diagram.

We already had the Rainbird controller installed when I decided to add rain detection. There is just the sensor for $20, which I was going to get. That would have meant getting into the conduit and running wires from the gutter above our garage into the controller. I opt'd for the $99 wireless. You simply remove a jumper and add four wires internally to the controller. I had my son get on the ladder and he had to use ONE screw to lock the sensor onto the gutter - that was it. After the first rain, I opened the APP, and you can see the message I got. "Irrigation Suspended - Local Rain Detected". I checked a day or two later and the message was gone.. Back to Normal!!

The particular Rain Bird controller I have does not have external 24 volt screws which this rain sensor requires. I was still able to use it by opening up the case of the controller where the 24 volt transformer is so I could connect to it. Works perfectly.
