I have used this for more than a month and it seems to work very well. I have this connected to a 1/2" drip irrigation line watering around 30 fruit trees and various other plants. The app works well on IOS and I have had no connection issues. It is definitely worth paying a bit more for a smart timer like this, than a regular timer, since you get access to the runtime history and access it remotely, not to mention a much more user-friendly scheduling interface.

I have been using hose timers for years. It saves me the trouble of remembering to water my garden and flowers every day. Unfortunately, my old battery powered timer - probably 20 years old - reached the end of its life. So I started to hunt for new timers. I have found this RAINPOINT timer to be absolutely terrific. So good, that I purchased two more. They are easily set up with a Bluetooth connection to your cell phone, and can be programmed to turn the water on mutiple times each day for any length of time. When rain is forecast, then can be told to turn off and come back on in 24, 48 or 72 hrs. Buying this product was a great balance between cost and functionality.

NOTE: This product is more useful with a wifi hub (make sure you get the right wifi hub as it will not work with the Smart+ system, which is what I have). It will still function with Bluetooth, but once I get far which is when I get into the house, the unit is not connected to the app. May not be an issue if you are just interested in plug and forget.The unit works as described and does the job of watering on a timed basis. I set the timer in the app for every day for 10 min and each day my drip irrigation system worked. You need to download a separate app for this system (compared to the Smart+ system, would have been nice if all of the units worked in the same app for Rainpoint). It also comes with a brass fitting on the faucet side, so it is bound to last long. Even came with teflon tape.You really have to decide which system you want to be a part of, the Rainpoint system or the Rainpoint Smart+ system. If you choose the standard Rainpoint system, then this units is a great addition to it.

I use this timer to control approximately 250ft of drip irrigation in my garden. Set up was easy and using the app is simple and convenient.You can set multiple daily watering schedules or set a timer for immediate manual watering. Bluetooth range is great and the timer can still be controlled by the app if your wifi is down. If you buy the additional WiFi hub you can control the timer when your away from home.This timer is great and I highly recommend it.

These timers are very easy to setup and the app is easy to use when setting schedules. They’ve been helpful to keep the garden and new grass watered properly while away from home. It was easy to modify schedules as needed and avoid watering during rain with the rain delay option. Connectivity was no issue with the first timer but I had issues with the second timer. Rainpoint’s email service was very helpful and timely in getting the issue resolved. After running through some tests and information I was sent a replacement timer within days of exchanging emails. The new timer was installed and working within 10 minutes. I’ve had no issues with battery life or leaks.

Not only has this product helped me save time by automatically turning on my irrigation every day, it’s well made and easy to use. I bought this one specifically because it can also be set to water multiple times a day. It hooked up easily and does not leak. This was also very affordable!

Read the reviews and decided to give these a go but when I hooked them up I got massive leaking where the brass hose connector meets the plastic of the timer housing. This joint felt really loose when I pulled the timers out of the box, but I figured this joint would tighten up when it gets screwed to the hose bib (the black and grey all-plastic hose timers from HD do the same thing but tighten up upon installation). I thought it might be just the one unit but all 3 that I ordered did it.

Over-Seeded my lawn and did not want to mess around with sprinklers for a month. The rainpoint valves with the hub were the perfect solution. I purchased 4 valves and 1 hub. I now have total control on 4 sprinklers through my phone. Very easy to set up and simple scheduling make life easier.
