I’ve been using the RAINPOINT Sprinkler Timer for a few weeks now, and it has exceeded my expectations. Setting it up was a breeze, thanks to the clear instructions and intuitive interface. The programmable options are fantastic for customizing watering schedules to fit my lawn's needs. The durable build feels like it will last a long time outdoors. I have used it in rainy conditions and it's held up well so far. Overall, this timer has made maintaining my lawn much easier and more efficient.Highly recommended for anyone looking to simplify their garden irrigation system!

Installed it a couple of weeks ago, seems to work fine. Very easy to install and set up, settings are intuitive and the package also includes clear instructions. Nice that the seller offers an upgrade to a 5 year warranty if you register your purchase. I'll probably buy more of these, it seems to be at least as good or better than other units selling for twice the price at retail stores. As others have said, it does NOT leak if you use Teflon tape (included), which you should do with any hose-connected device anyway.

I bought two of these for a grass seeding project this past fall -- one for a small area in my front yard and another for a larger area in my back yard -- although in retrospect I wish I had gotten the two-zone timers. Still, it beat the pants off manual watering multiple times a day.The interface is easy to use but I do have two small gripes with it that I think would improve the product. The first is with making adjustments during the day. If I set a start time for, say, 8:00am but then realize I need to adjust the watering duration or frequency, it cancels watering until 8:00am the next day. I wish it would instead retroactively apply the changes to the start time and calculate the next watering time from that. The second is I wish I could limit the number of waterings per day, or else set an end time, because I don't need to water grass seed throughout the night. In my case I was watering for 5-10 minutes every couple hours during daylight hours, but each evening I would have to remember to go close the valve for the night and then reopen it in the morning. That frankly undermines the benefit of having a timer. At one point I did have one of the timer valves jam on me, to where water would not pass through even when it was supposed to be running. I tried running on manual mode several times like the Rainpoint website suggests, but to no avail. Rather than call customer support, I got a small screwdriver and opened the outer case and took the inner mechanism apart. Never found the source of the jam, but somehow just taking it apart and reassembling it fixed the jam. I probably voided my warranty in doing so, but it wasn't very difficult and it was useful to understand how the valve mechanism worked internally. And I probably resolved the problem faster than if I had contacted customer support. These are worth the money, in my opinion, but next time I have a large seeding project I think I'll upgrade to the two-zone timers.

Setting it up to irrigate plants in pots and having the water on all time, no leak, reliable. My wife is glad to have that since it saves her time to manually water the potted plants.

The timer was easy to set up,my complaint is the threads where you hook up the hose are plastic, easy to cross thread which happened . Now timer is useless, can't attach hose. Now looking for one that has metal threads on top and bottom. Very disappointed.UPDATED REVIEW...In regards to my experience with the timer,Rain point reached out to me and offered a upgraded one zone timer with brass inlet and outlets.Custom service was OUTSTANDING. New timer is just perfect Really easy to set up and is performing EXCATELY as designed.THANK YOU! ,Kristy from customer care team.

I have been using a timer to regularly add water to my pool during the dry season. Unfortunately the timer I was using was limited in the amount of time it allowed the water to flow and would only go on at sunrise.I purchased the Rain Point timer which allows you to set the watering time to anything you want and gives you the option of having it go on and off at any time of the day. It was simple to program and works as advertised. I highly recommend it.

I wasn’t sure which one to buy. I am very happy with this one .Directions are good and very easy to set up.I was very happy that this one can be set anywhere between one hour and 12 hours. I set mine for every eight hours. Other ones only let you do 12 hours. So I’m very happy this one allows lots of different watering times. I’ve used it for a week now and I’m very happy.

If you want full flow on your 1/2†hose this is not the timer for you. It works great, I just lose flow and can’t get enough flow to water my entire front yard. When I remove it, I have no problem reaching the corners.
