This RAINPOINT WiFi Sprinkler Timer is incredible! I couldn’t believe how fast and easy it was to set up—everything worked perfectly right out of the box. I had zero issues getting it connected.The wireless transmitter is about 2 feet away on the inside of the house, and it connects with no problems at all. The app is super user-friendly, making it a breeze to schedule when the water turns on and off. I love the convenience and flexibility it gives me for managing my watering schedule!We’re in Wisconsin, so our weather can fluctuate quite a bit, but this timer has been handling the changing temperatures like a champ. It’s reliable, durable, and has made my life so much easier.If you’re looking for a hassle-free sprinkler timer, this is it. Highly recommend—5 stars all the way!

No leaks after a couple of months. Easy to setup, just follow instructions. From the app, you control it by bluetooth when you click on Valve Controller. Once you add the Intelligent Gateway in the app, you can then control it via wifi connection. This also works when you leave your home and use your phone with internet data connection.My needs were simple. I have a large 2 tiered fountain I got tired of filling up with the hose. Hooked a Y: connected to my house spigot, one for a hose to water garden the other hooked up the water timer. I hooked up a drip line hose to it and ran it about 30 feet up my fountain base and into the fountain hidden from sight. When the fountain gets low, I go to the Rainport app, click on Intelligent Gateway, tap the valve controller and push on the play symbol. I have it timed to run for 5 minutes which fills up the fountain. I could use a daily timer, but the empty rate of the fountain is not consistent with wind and temperature changes.You can set a timer for days of week for specific run times like a normal timer.It also has a Cycle and Soak, meaning you can have it run for lets say 2 hours, but you can have it cycle on and off during that 2 hours.Example: I want to only water on Mon Wed FRI between 4:00am and 6:00am, but I want it to run the water for 15 minutes then stop for 10 minutes and continue back on for 15 min then off 10 min, etc, until the end time.

The product arrived quickly from Amazon. Inside the box was the TTV102B BluetoothSmart Irrigation Timer, the TWG009BW Bluetooth Gateway and the instruction manual. The Bluetooth Gateway is a device which plugs directly into a 110vac wall outlet and has a push button on its front.The initial set up was to connect the device by downloading the RainPoint app via scanning the included QR code or downloading directly from Google play store. This process was simple to download and connecting to the Gateway was also simple. Instructions are very well written. The app to connect the Gateway is very much like connecting a device to the TuyaSmart app, very simple and straightforward. After pairing the Gateway to the app, you can move on to setting up the Irrigation timer. One item to note with the setup of these devices is that Wifi is necessary to do the setup. Although Wifi is not how the irrigation controller iscontrolled, it is needed for initial setup and for the device to connect to the manufacturers server in order to update the devices firmware which is fast to update as well. Again, configuring and adding the Smart Irrigation Timer is no more complicated than adding most modern blue tooth devices. Basically, holding a button on the timer for 6 seconds and add to the app. Simple and straightforward. Once done, move tothe apps homepage and connect the two and the system is configured. The paired devices now show upon the apps homepage. More "sub" devices can be added to the app. Device info shows up in the app suchas date, battery status, device status, weather information, irrigation time, last run time and next run time.You can push a button for 10 minutes of instant watering or, program timing schedules like cycle and soak to allow more flexibility for your specific watering needs. This is a handy and compact device which we plan on connecting to our well pump (has a standard 3/4" hose connector) to feed other watering devices. The only confusing fact is that in my experience Blue tooth is good for about a 30 foot range, but the box statesits good for about 150 feet. So the gateway would have to be within that range to work reliably. However,the box also states with the purchase of a TWG009BW wifi hub, you can control the device from anywhereand anytime through wifi. Because we live on a large piece of land, this may be an ancillary device we mayconsider purchasing in the future as it would be inconvenient to attempt to operate the device throughblue tooth. All in all, it is a solid product with a well thought through app and well written instructions evenfor the non-technical gardener.

I bought two of these to replace other analog ones that kept getting pinhole leaks after a year. I have only had them for a couple months now but they work well and consistent. Connecting and using the phone to set up schedules is convenient, but I do wish there was also a option to set them on the actual timer as well. Connectivity is alright, it could be better. At least in my experience, you have to have your phone pretty close to the timer to actually be able to set the schedules. The schedules will still work on their own after they are set, but for the initial setup, you have to be pretty close which defeats some of the purpose. As I haven't even had these for a full season yet, only time will tell on the durability of them, but I do appreciate the brass fitting and the unit itself feels pretty solid.Overall, at this time, yes, I would recommend this timer and would purchase it again.While I did write this review for a promotion, I did write it based off my honest and true experience with the product.
