If you emboss, you HAVE to get this; everyone neeeds a pretty gold in their inventory! I am new to embossing so I bought a few items to try. This gold embossing powder was among the few things I purchased. The 1st pic "Life is Beautiful" was done with this powder & so was the "Ranger" in the 2nd pic. "Olives" was made with mixing clear emb powder with Olive colored Mica. Even though I ended up not needing it (since I can make my own) I consider it a good buy & a good quality product. It will definitely last me a long time.

I've only tried Ranger embossing powders so I can't speak for other brands, but I think that this is a great embossing powder that does it's job. I would recommend using this with a anti-static pouch, as this powder sticks to everything (I assume that most powders do). This is great for beginners and leaves a beautiful, true gold metallic shine when heated!

I've never embossed before and it was very easy with this powder. This is a really nice fine gold powder that creates a beautifully bright gold embossed effect - perfect for my Christmas cards. I used it with a quite detailed snowflake rubber stamp and Tsukineko Full-Size VersaMark Pigment Inkpad, Clear (aka "watermark stamp"). A few random flecks of the powder sometimes stuck where it didn't belong after tapping the paper, but I was able to very very lightly brush over the stamped area with a super supple high quality artist's paint brush to remove the unwanted powder. The result after applying the heat gun was a very 'clean' gold embossed image. I also found that gently shaking the loose powder in all directions seemed to get a more thorough/consistent application of the powder so that all areas of the stamped image were equally covered.

I run an invitation business and bought this because I kept continued to get messages from customers wanting embossing. It does the trick and looks really cute when completed but I suggest purchasing if you're going to use on small items. It's a long process and doing this on over 80 invitations would take me hours! I decided to just keep it and use it for other items such as table numbers.

This was my first embossing project, I wanted to custom make a Chinese red envelope for my cousin’s wedding. The gold emboss powder heats up to a very nice gold - perfect for my needs. I’m still learning how to get a smooth embossment though.See pictures for one layer vs two layers of embossing.
