I installed this handle AND the straight "peg-like" handle offered by the same company, as they work well in tandem on my wooden handle sand scoop. It certainly makes life easier when dealing with heavy loads of wet sand. With a little work, the handle installed easily. I am going to experiment with placing a thin piece of rubber (like a bike innertube) under the hard plastic part where it meets the wooden handle.

The design is off a bit because the pressure exerted on the handle causes it too loosen itself. Once you tighten it and it loosens you have to keep doing this after every use.
