This might sound like a eating contest or something, but this is my 3rd Pi and each one has not disappoint in the small task I want it to do. 2 of my Pi are being used to control my 3D printers, these are cheaper, no smart enable printers, so using Octopi to remotely control, monitor, create timelapse, and start / stop prints. My 3rd Pi is being use as a retro game emulator, still feel like age 12 playing the old NES. Looking to get another Pi in the near future to do AI video recognition to control my front door lock, so when myself and family is at the front door, it will automatically unlock but keeps the door lock the rest of the time.

So far so good in terms of up and running fairly quickly. Was able to use my own mini SD card and download the OS image onto it. Seems to have very good instructions on how to login remotely using the Raspberry Pi built in software that comes with the OS "rpi-connect" to login from pretty much anywhere and get the virtual desktop on your Windows or Linux Desktop. While the OS is Linux, which I like, you get excellent tutorials for starting out. The size is very small which is convenient for future projects. I did get the 4GB memory version its enough for most projects. I also purchased the Freenove Starter kit to begin experimenting with the lights, servos, switches just for fun and all of this will be driven by the Raspberry Pi 5. Happy with the product thus far!!

I like the addition of a PCIe connector. It allowed use of an inexpensive NVMe board for fast boots and read/write operations. The PD power negotiation thing is something to be aware of, both in terms of the power supply used and the USB cable used for the power connection. I opted for a power expansion board that includes both voltage regulation and PD power negotiation, providing negotiated 5V 5A power from 7v - 24v sources. The board I used is the Yahboom PD Power Expansion Board, amazon item: B0D3XMLMGW.The attached picturs show my Pi 5 board with both the NVMe and power expansion boards added top and bottom. You can also see the OEM style active cooler, which runs as needed and is very quiet.

Buy the 8gb if you want to run multiple apps. I also use poe and wanted nvme drive support (which needs 2 hats). It’s doable but I had to modify both hats to use the nvme cable because otherwise it would have been too short.Otherwise love the device.

Works well for running a small server and video editing. It does get hot though so I would buy a case with fan.

It arrived quickly in a box with appropriate protection. The product itself is brand new unopened in its original packaging. There's many projects available for a Pi 5. Well worth its price as you can practically do anything with it in such a small package. I suggest you get an original Pi 5 heatsink and fan if you're going to do anything intensive with it. However if your project does not require sustained cpu usage there's no need for the heatsink+fan.

Robusta y potente.
