I own three of these 40-inch wide garage shelves now, and they’ve been an absolute game-changer for my reptile setup. Each shelf easily holds three 40-gallon breeder tanks with room for lighting fixtures, and I could probably fit a fourth tank without the lighting. The shelves are incredibly sturdy and can hold a lot of weight, making them perfect for anyone with a collection of reptiles and large tanks.Building them is super simple—just a bit noisy because you have to bang the metal shelves into the frame holes, but it’s not difficult. The best part is that the shelves are adjustable, so you can move them to any height you need for your setup.Overall, these shelves are a great value, providing ample storage and support for my tanks. Highly recommend for anyone with a lot of reptiles or large tanks to store!One of them had a bent shelf but out of the three I have, that’s not bad considering how big they are for shipping. And it was easily bent back with a rubber mallet and putting something heavy in it. There’s never been any missing parts for me and the plastic bits that go on the ends really protect your floor!

I’ve been looking for a shelf that can hold the size and weight of my reptile tanks and was pretty pleased with this shelf. It’s light but sturdy and easy to assemble and I’m HORRIBLE at following directions. The shelves feel flimsy but should up pretty well. I got these shelves back in June, it’s November now and they’re still going strong. If you’re looking for sturdy affordable shelves these are it!

The rack was easy to assemble and is sturdy when the shelves are seated properly. However, I agree that the provided metal shelves are irritatingly flimsy. Probably too flimsy to safely hold the weight claimed by the manufacturer. They should go back to using Masonite or plywood for shelves. Other than the shelves, the rack seems to be a good value.

Bought this shelf unit to fit my 40 gallon reptile tanks(exoterra front opening and a breeder tank) fits perfectly with a bit extra room. Shelf’s are stable enough to hold the weight of the tanks. Assembly is pretty straight forward

If you’re considering buying it, do it!! the shelves feel a bit flimsy but it’s holds everything greatly.

Easy to put together, sturdy, and looks good. We used it to hold 3 50 gallon enclosures.
