My slide pins had frozen due to the old boots having torn on my 2002 Toyota Camry. The original boots were such a pain to get them off the brackets. But when installing these they went in too easy. We will see how they hold up in the long run they seem to stay in place I just don’t like how easy they went in. Barely any force needed to get them to seat in place.

These are decent boots. They do the job, once they're installed. They're just a genuine pain to install. You'll need a 1/2" wood chisel or something similarly sharp and wedge-shaped to get behind the stock boot cups to get them out. Once the boots are out, clean the recess very well and use a thin coat of silicone paste to make installing the new boots easier. You'll need an 18mm (19mm is a little too big and allows the cup to rock around) socket to place over the boot to punch or press the new cup into place. Be careful not to tear the boot or bend the cup in the process...both are easy to do and you can't recover them once you've messed them up. Slow and steady and you should be able to get these new boots installed without too much fuss.
