This little gadget is well worth the price! From anywhere on the boat you can adjust your course, tack, or circle (if fishing). When the weather is bad I can sit by my companion way, behind the dodger and steer the boat with this little device. Installation was a breeze and uncomplicated. The batteries that came with the device did have a very short lifespan but with some quality batteries the wireless Autopilot lasts a full day +. I used it to go down the Delaware river and was making lots of course corrections so the device was constantly on for 8 hours. It comes with a belt clip or a lanyard. I keep it on the lanyard around my neck while underway. A little velcro on the back of the Autopilot and on my harness keeps it close by at all times and out of the way when I am grinding the winches.

Super easy to install on a seatalkng system when you purchase the sea talk converter kit. Very important to have this kit.Once installed the remote hooked up to the network and away we went .

I was unsure spending that much and then it would not connect with the current Raymarine equipment, but was delighted that it did.

Granted, the design is now 20 or more years old and the technology is barely 1980s; so you have to take it for what it is. A new unit designed for THIS century would include the RF (better yet, bluetooth) base INSIDE the tiller pilot along with a Li-ion battery pack that snaps onto the tiller pilot body. Self contained with a remote control--could even use a phone app. Dunno why it hasn't been updated.

This is actually a great little remote; does its job well and makes it much more convenient going through the ICW, etc. The only drawback is the battery compartment. It is ill-aligned with the cover that goes over it. If you do not make sure the cover goes on the outside of the battery holder, the connectors will certainly break as shown in the photo. You have to insert the "top" end of the battery compartment cover first, making sure it is on the outside of the battery holder, then snap it down on the bottom. Not sure this is covered in the instructions. By the time this occurred, the return window had closed, so I had to order some replacement battery contact springs by slow boat from China. Don't have them yet, so not sure this is going to work, but it beats going through the hoops with RayMarine.Update 1-5-21: the replacement positive/negative combo spring worked and is of much better quality than the original. HOWEVER, the negative spring on the other end of the battery compartment broke just a few weeks ago, even though great care was taken to align the cover correctly before closing. Tried to order something that looked like it would work, but it was no longer available. Finally had an electronics-savvy friend of mine fix is another way. Still a good remote if you can work around the sketchy design and horrible quality original spring wires.

Actually not sure if the remote works yet. First unit delivered was missing (5) parts from the kit and the remote wouldn't power up. Tried multiple sets of batteries but it just wouldn't come on. It had obviously been opened and returned once before. Requested replacement which arrived yesterday, also missing a couple parts like the belt clip and the Seatalk junction box. I have a spare JB and the belt clip probably won't slow me down so I'll install the base station tomorrow. My biggest issue is time and returning items that are missing parts from these boxes. Raymarine should really be sealing these better or use better boxes.

Does the job, but concious of it only operating on battery power, so careful to use it when required rather than switching on and leaving it.

El mando es exactamente lo que entendi en el anuncio. La entrega correcta. Tuve un problema de funcionamiento una vez instalado, me lo solucionaron en 20 minutos por email, se trataba de un error en el modo de funcionamiento que estaba predeterminado y que yo no habÃa cambiado , funciona perfeco.
