This is a delightful toy! It was a belated Christmas toy as some of my kiddos wanted to thank my youngest for his generosity with them for Christmas (he's a truly generous gift giver!). He's been playing with it in the bathtub because we're in the north and there's no water to be seen outside for a long time! The bathtub, though not big has been sufficient to make a lot of happiness in our home. With cabin fever and all we're so grateful for respites.

Fun boat to use in the pool or small lake. The battery lasts a while and it handles well. The boat did stop working properly after it was 'accidentally' submerged for a while. But we dried it out overnight, and it worked flawlessly the next day. A recommended toy for a kid or kid at heart.

This boat really exceeded my expectations quite more than I anticipated. The look of it is detailed and it was fairly easy to assemble. I also think it is really neat how it lights up. The boat comes with two batteries and the remote will need two AA batteries. The time of operation is maybe thirty minutes for each battery and it beeps when it begins to run low for it not to get stuck in the middle of the pool or whatever water source someone is using to operate the RC boat. It is the perfect size in my opinion for a pool. I also believe it is very easy to operate. I was concerned because I was unsure if I would be able to control the speed of the boat but you can so it is much easier to operate in small areas. It pulled to the left initially when I placed it in the water and tried to go in a straight line but it is easily adjusted with a knob/spin wheel on the remote. It has 360 degree operational movement. The only thing I will say is the cord/cable is a bit short to plug the battery into the boat making it difficult; therefore, I deducted a star. I also feel it is not really a toy; even though, it is. It is a model you can play with.

Unlike most small rc boats like this, this one has a scale look and nice little details that bring enjoyment just by watching it motor around a pool or pond. The colors are nice too making it stand out and harder to lose sight of. It is not fast but more to scale in Speed as well. It’s very quiet so you can get it close to ducks and well you know. Not that we would ever disturb the birds or anything! Makes for a cool gift for those 12 and under in my opinion.

My husband is going to love this tugboat. Not only is he getting a motorized boat, but a DIY project as well. I like that neither the boat nor the box look childish. It is plastic, but the bottom part has a little weight to it. A great gift for older kids or adults.
