Bought as gift for my mom, the radio is useless. It will only scan to preprogrammed channels. I have to believe this item was returned and reshipped. Save your money and keep looking.

The sound quality is good and the phone charger worked well the one time I used it.On the other hand the alarm only stays on for 10 minutes which is shorter than I am accustomed to and the radio has no buttons for preset stations so changing stations is more of a challenge than I am accustomed to.

I was initially looking for a speaker because I wanted to play music in my office. However, when I saw that this alarm clock/speaker would allow me to tune to the radio, I went for it and havenรขโฌโขt looked back.I am very pleased with it. In terms of design/aesthetics, I love the minimalist look. The combination of the gray mesh and the (faux) wood top, make it pleasing to look at. The small buttons also contribute to that minimalist/clean/without excess lookรขโฌโthere is nothing unnecessary on it. The pad charger on the top is a definite plus. I like putting my cell phone to chargeรขโฌโcable freeรขโฌโon the alarm clockรขโฌโขs pad while I play music from my phone. One of the first things I did as soon as I got it, was to tune to a radio station, and the sound was greatรขโฌโno static-y sound and spot on tuning. Although I am not planning to use this alarm clock in my bedroom, the display dimmer is definitely a plus (almost a necessity to those who need complete darkness to sleep).I have noticed two issues but no biggies: 1. I couldnรขโฌโขt use the scan button to scan the radio stations; however, I could easily do it manually and it worked well. 2. The Bluetooth on/off button isnรขโฌโขt always responsive, but at the second or third try I always manage to turn it on/off.The volume wheel is on the back (same for the display dimmer), I would suggest making it more accessible/visible.All in all, two thumbs up for this device.

The charger does not work consistently. I have to unplug and re-plug it to get it to work. Not convenient. Furthermore, when it is is charging a phone, the radio is statically. Remove the phone from the charger, and the static goes away. Basically the charger is useless.
