Really cute hammer for children and it works as it should - the giraffe's mouth is the hammer and the horns are the nail remover. And the eye pops out to reveal a storage area inside. My reason for the removal of one star was my giraffe arrived with a broken off ear - fortunately it was easily glued back on.

A couple of years ago I ordered my grandson the dog shaped tape measure from this line. It is so cute and actually works so well that I was excited to see a hammer. My husband was a carpenter for 30 years and still loves building things. Of course, the grandkids want to be out in the shop with him building too. I've purchased little ping hammers over the years, but they just don't work well (nailing or protecting little fingers). My grandson has already used this and he loves it. He won't get his fingers smashed either, thanks to the rubber surrounded the hammer's head.

I think this is such a cute hammer. It is a great way to have a kid feel involved and the little hiding compartment is really cute. My kids love it
