Too heavy, the way it attaches to a branch is a joke. Along with size of branch needs to be a 2" diameter tree.

This saw is essentially a quality knock-off of a Silky Pocketboy 170, with a modification that allows you to use it as a pole saw. The tooth profile is in between Silky's large and medium; about 7 teeth per inch. The packaging states that it's made in China. Based on its origin and price, I don't believe it's impulse hardened. But, the blade is interchangeable with Silky's so, you could replace the stock blade with a Pocketboy 170 blade when it eventually dulls. The Realtree EZPac cuts well but, it can't compete with the Hooyman as a pole saw The convenience of it's size and portability make it an excellent choice when you're looking to save weight and space. It weighs 18 ounces compared to the 10 ft. Hooyman's 57. If I'm clearing shooting lanes in the preseason I'll take the Hooyman; if I'm doing a hang-and-hunt, I'll carry the EZPac. Realistically, this saw is going to be used with about a 6 - 8 foot branch and, that branch is going to flex. But with a little patience it'll cut just fine. Just remember; it's illegal to cut live trees on public land, and private land without permission. The reason this saw only gets 4 stars is from the factory, the blade screw comes far too loose, and the blade can just flop open when you don't want it to. It's not a simple fix, either... it has high-strength threadlocker on it and it requires 2 extremely large flathead screwdrivers(that not everyone is going to own) to tighten. After tightening the screw, it works great.

Awesome tool to have. I’ve been using zip ties for years to attach other hand saws to branches Then I see this and wonder why I did not think of it

The pole attachment is heavy duty and is very stable. Unfortunately the nut and bolt holding the blade may be adequate for hand operation it isn't as a pole saw. Mine failed 1st day I used it.
