Ordered these instead of opting to track down and install unsightly and poorly engineered OEM mounts.Brackets are not as heavy duty as OEM; however, they should be sufficient for >90% of uses. Payoff is worth it to me.Pro: Inexpensive, Simple Design, Simple Installation, Better (in my estimation) than OEMCon: Requires Drilling, Instructions could be better, Bed liners complicate installation, Little margin of error - brackets must be installed correctly to work right. Incorrect installation will result in unsightly additional holes and/or sloppy fit and/or damaged taillights & wiring. What makes this item desirable? The OEM mounts for the bed extender on the make/model of my truck (00-04 Frontier) require that the extender cage be raised perpendicular to the bed before it can be removed. Many caps/toppers/lids, once installed, do not allow this range of motion. This results in many owners simply removing the extender altogether. Design of the AMP brackets allows the user to reposition or remove the extender cage without requiring the flip motion - much easier.I purchased my truck w/o bed extender. Used extenders rarely includes required mounting hardware. In light of design & simplicity of these brackets, I'd say that's a plus.Items arrived within time advertised by vendor. Instructions consist one page with writing and diagrams and another that includes template for drilling holes entitled "large/deep" and "small/shallow." Instructions make no distinction between the two with regard to vehicle make/model - it's left for the customer to figure out which to use. Instructions recommend not cutting the bed liner; rather, taping the appropriate template into place and using a punch to mark where holes need to be drilled. Problem I encountered is that my bed liner is plastic and flexible and has warped a bit, plus it tends to float around in the box. This means the customer needs to ensure the liner is in the location where it can be permanently affixed before drilling the holes. The liner won't be able to "float" once the brackets are installed, so the liner location needs to be acceptable. Holes are drilled into the inner wall of the bed, behind which are housed the taillights and wiring. Although it's not included in the instructions, the installer - especially an amateur - might be better served to remove the taillights prior to drilling. I opted for the extra bracket kit (see http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0041FVE78/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00) to keep from disturbing the wiring; however, this brought its own set of issues (see my review of that item if interested).Once installed the brackets work great. They take up much less space than OEM mounts and have a much cleaner appearance. Brackets are much less apt to damage or hang up on cargo. These issues combined with a competitive price make these a true win/win. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Great product but didn’t come with the template to install, but called customer service & they directed me right on their website where I could print it out! Great customer support! Hint: the template has you drill this whole about 1/2†to low, (I’m a bit OCD) so whichever way you have your bed extender, it’s tilted just a little. (Not flat) But serves all its purposes perfectly. I think I’m going to uninstall & drill the holes a little higher, so when I’m using the extender, it’s flat. (Look at my photo, if you cannot see that it rests at a little angle then I’m ultra OCD, but if you can, just use the template, but just raise it up 1/2†to 5/8â€..

I had one of these disappear off my truck. These were a great substitute. Good fit.

I bought this product to put on my Toyota Tacoma to replace the brackets that were there but had broke. These replacement brackets were exactly what you would expect. They worked correctly were easy to install and lasted for years, until I sold my truck.

I’m using a Toyota OEM bed extender so your results may vary, i looked up a video on how to install on YouTube by theMandiyrin and he shows exactly how to do it so I would watch him if your going to do this. Also the directions say to drill all the holes at once but I didn’t do that cuz once you start putting the screws in the holes might be off so I did center punch them by using the med/small template but drilled one hole at a time making sure everything is level and dabbing a little blue loc tite on all screws and then just put the extender in….check first that the clamps will fit on you extender BEFORE drilling anything

I bought this quick release latch system for the truck bed X-Tender that I bought here on Amazon. These brackets were very easy to install they took about 20 min to install. I give these brackets 5 out of 5 stars and highly recommend them to anybody that is buying a truck bed X-Tender for there truck. These brackets make it very easy to release your X-Tender and pop in place. These brackets can be mounted to truck bed liners, the screws are long enough to go through the brackets, bed liner, and right into your truck.

I used this for my install of AMP Research 74811-01A Black BedXTender HD onto 2019 Tacoma DCSB TRD OffRoad.Works as designed and offers perfect convenience to lift the extender out without having to rotate it to mid position. No different mounting layout than the original latches of the BedXtender. However, the levers of both of these latches are slightly angled toward the bed sidewall resulting in the levers contacting the sidewall instead of having some sort of expected gap. If they contact, then they would mar the paint at that point of contact as you operate them. To resolve this, I used washers as spacers between the latch and sidewall which provided just enough space so the lever doesn't scrape against the paint of the sidewall when pivoting.

No cabe duda que usar repuestos originales es lo mejor para lograr ajuste de primera

Worked for my OEM Toyota Tacoma bed extender.Easy to install.Only issue I had was there is no template in the box. You can find the template on the vendor website, but is super buried. Also when you print it make sure your printer prints actual size, not 'fit to page'. If it fits to page it will shrink and leave you wondering if you downloaded the wrong template.
