So I’m out here in 100 Degree California weather replacing a part that doesn’t even fit my car as advertised. Seriously? 2017 Mazda 3 Sedan. The plug for the cable isn’t even on the correct side, and it’s the wrong type. The angle of the actuator doesn’t work for the locking mechanism either. I’m beyond irritated right now.

The text indicated that it fits a 2019 Mazda CX9.It in fact does NOT.I am past the return date so basically stuck with it. Pretty annoying! Not to mention I had extra expenses and time lost to get the right part.

My 2000 4 Runner hatch was having issues locking. Decided to replace the locking mechanism myself. I'm by no means a mechanic but it was fairly easy. Also bought a plastic pry bar set which I would highly recommend for popping off back panel without snapping off panel pins.
