They work fine. I t would be nice if they fit a bit tighter to where you had to tap them on with a hammer for better grip on both ends.

I got these to build rebar cages for some footings, using some #4 rebar I had around from various projects. Turns out the sockets on these fit firmly on some of the rebar, but were loose on others. Can't blame the manufacturer of the saddles for lack of quality control on the rebar line, but just a heads up. I found a little medium thickness CA glue kept the loose ones in place until I poured the concrete. OK for a small project, but pretty fussy for a big one.
