The Red Lion RL22G10-3W2V 1 HP, 3-wire, 230-volt submersible deep well pump, delivers up to 22 GPM and a maximum shut-off of 260 ft. See specification sheet for performance details. This pump has a stainless steel pump casing, thermoplastic discharge and motor bracket and comes with a built-in suction screen and check valve. This 3-wire, 230 volt motor requires a control box which is included.

This Red Lion pump replaced my old 20gpm pump perfectly which finally failed after 27 years. It appears to be well made but its not as substantial as the older pump it replaced being about 3/4 the weight. Its been working flawlessly for my irrigation system for about four weeks now but only time will tell in regards to durability. Be aware this pump is what is considered a three wire pump but current electrical standards dictate that it actually has four wires. The fourth wire is a ground wire which older three wire pumps do not have. I mention this because I had to dig up and replace about 60 feet of electrical conduit since the original wasn't quite large enough to accommodate the new 4 wire pump cable which runs from the well to the pump motor control box.This pump has about 4 feet of cable from the motor to make your wiring splices to. Any other wiring will have to be purchased separately. This pump also comes with a new motor control box which I added a lightning arrestor to since we have a lot here in Florida. This pump also has a built-in check valve but I installed a separate check valve above the pump but below the well's water level as I read is often recommended. The same installation as my old pump.I've read some reviews complaining about disappointing performance from their new pump and I noticed most of those installations involved fairly deep wells. This particular pump model is a low pressure high volume pump intended for shallow wells. My water level is only 20 feet below grade so the pump does not have to overcome much head pressure to produce a lot of volume at 30-50psi. This pump model will not perform well in areas where the water table is deep and it is not intended for those applications. Red Lion has other model pumps for deep wells.

i gave it a ratting of 4.5 because it looks and feels like a quality product .though i haven't had it for very long it has been operating problem free for the past two weeks and it has a good warranty which makes me think they are not afraid of there product.if the pump continues to operate as it does now i would give it a five and rec. it as an best buy type of product.

Well, the day we installed the pump I was very pleased, it tested just fine and had great pressure once installed about 120' down. But the pumped stopped working the second day and so now I have to get someone out here to troubleshoot the problem. If the pump is the problem, I'll have to pay someone to pull it back out, wait another week to get a replacement and then pay to have the new one installed - again. I'll update as things develop.

The day I received this pump I pulled my old well pump and replaced it. The pump is working better than I anticipated. My well is pretty shallow. The pump is sitting at 60ft and the water begins at 11ft below the surface. I am only estimating the flow, but it appears to be over 25gpm. I am able to run 4 impact sprinklers with 7.1gpm nozzles without any problems and they are getting their full radius of spray. The electricity usage appears to be similar to the previous pump. All in all I would definitely recommend this pump to anyone who needs large amounts of water.

This is the 4th submersible pump I've purchased for our irrigation system over the years, and it works as well as the best, and at about half the cost of the more expensive pumps. With 11 zones and 97 sprinkler heads, we move a lot of water, and this pump does the job.

I got a great deal in this pump. Paid less than half what i would have paid locally. The specs for this pump are super accurate i have a deep well with a descent static head and this pump provides adequate pressure and volume even sitting at 240ft. Will definitely use again on my next well.

It took me some time to get this pump into my well, through no fault of the Red Lion or the Vendor. So I have only a few days of experience with it. I have not run any pressure or volume tests, but this one-horsepower pump offers less of both than the 1.5 hp pump which it replaced.Hard to beat the price anywhere.So far there is adequate water in my home. Next summer, with more than an acre to water, we shall see.

Arrived on time pump wasn’t damaged but the box was wrecked I don’t know how it stayed it’s box and I paid $959 taxes included two weeks later it’s on sale for $850 I wish I could have known.

We installed this pump 2 1/2 months ago as an irrigation pump for our lawn. The pump ran continuously for 3 hrs per day, every day for seventy (70) days. It goes without saying that we really weren’t expecting this from this pump seeing as the one I replaced lasted more than 10 years. The premature corrosion tells the story of a poorly made product which surely would not have lasted anywhere near the time the other brand did. Someone should be requesting this one be shipped back for further analysis. I will be reverting back to my previous brand going forward.
