Composite material is good quality but maybe overkill for the purpose. I think if they were metal it could be more cost efficient for the buyer and serve the same purpose. CouldnΓ’β¬β’t find this product in other materials so I had to pay the high cost. Not sure if itΓ’β¬β’s worth buying these unless youΓ’β¬β’re installing excellent quality speakers, you may end up paying more for these than the speaker is worth. Other than that, it is good quality but kinda high on the price 5 stars Γ’ΒΒΓ―ΒΈΒ

Okay, so was I able to get it to work... yes, but...1st, I know it says that no hardware is included, and that should be fine, after all it is being installed into a vehicle with existing hardware... except the existing hardware is absolutely useless. See the factory unit is tabbed, so the screws are MUCH shorter than required to install this.2nd, This is to replace a factory unit that has the electrical connection on the FRONT side, what does that mean for aftermarket... well you have to route the cables to the back. But the door panels are solid metal. All it takes is a little notch in the top side of this, and magically you can pass the wires through, if only I didn't have to cut that notch myself.3rd, Material... this cracked from tightening a screw... yeah.4th, speaker mounting holes. This claims to be compatible with 6.5inch speakers. So I got a pair of pioneer, about the most basic of speakers. The speakers have literally every single screw hole you could ask for, something like 20 screw holes to account for 3 screw vs 4 screw vs offset vs even spacing... and it was not possible to align more than 2 of the screw holes with this adapter, and it was 2 offset screw holes. So I had to drill my own screw holes. I mean, in their product images they didn't even use the screw holes, they glued the speaker in.Basically, if you happen to have the tools and knowhow to adapt this to your use case, then sure, it's fine, but... if you have that capability, you can probably find a solution that doesn't cost you an extra $20.

The material seems sturdy enough. My vehicle is a 2020 Fusion. If you are using aftermarket speakers, you will have to cut a notch into the bottom end to pass the wire through. Also, it didn't fit my Recoil 6.5 speakers 100%. There was some flex when I mounted them to the adapter. The last thing was that the mounting holes didn't line up but it wasn't a big deal to drill some holes to line up with the speakers. One I have learned is that universal isn't always the best fit. Overall, it was still a worthy purchase. I probably would choose a cheaper set if I had to do it over again though.

Product is well built and worked well.I did have to slightly enlarge the screw holes and make a small notch for wiring. I'd say this is pretty normal for "universal" parts and custom speakers. But it fills a need at a good deal.
