Plugged it in, messed with the settings for a minute or two, and then was up and running getting the Wh that a mission critical device used overnight. Love it. Only bad thing is that it's slightly more expensive than its comparable items, but for a device that actually works, I'll take it.

shuts off intermittently. Display is hard to read in low light.

I like this unit. It monitors current and wattage. It also provides incoming voltage, frequency and cost. I do not have much use for the cost function but have been using this unit to monitor a cluster of plugs for a computer and various accessories.

On the positive side it does provide a convenient way to track power usage. There are several negatives:1. The LCD screen does not have a backlight. A product in this price range really should. I can't believe I have to get a flashlight to read the screen.2. Ten (10) days after receiving the product the battery failed. It is a common and economical CR2032 button cell battery, but still... Ten days?3. A design flaw. When the CR2032 button cell battery failed the whole thing quit working - even when plugged into the wall. Okay, you use a little battery to provide power when it is not plugged in. However, when plugged into wall power it should be fully usable... even displaying a message to "replace the battery". Find a real engineer to fix this in the next generation product.

Seems to be accurate. I bought this unit because it was well reviewed and is produced by reputable company — but why doesn’t the display have a backlight? Any lcd needs a backlight to make it easier to read. In a typical room, the display is unreadable unless you shine a light on the meter. This watt meter costs more than the typical meter. Had I known it didn’t have a backlit display I would have bought a different model.

Seems to be accurate (given my limited testing abilities). Has PF display and correction which not all units do, but which is critical for accurate energy usage display. UL listed and quality built unlike most of the other garbage out there.
