All front mount receivers have a 2” square receiver tube opening and all attachments are J-Pin ready. Front mounted receivers offer a secure and useful attachment point and offer 9000 lbs. of line pull and 300 lbs. vertical load. The METALSHIELD protective coating process is a three step finish consisting of a rust inhibiting primer, dipped E-coat electrostatic coating to insure total finish coverage and finally an outer powder coat finish for durability. The METALSHIELD process is an OEM compatible finish providing the best corrosion protection over brands that use only powder coat on their products. Install time is an estimated 25 minutes and requires 10, 15mm, T-45 and T-55 Torx wrenches. Minor fascia trimming required.

I ordered this as the photo shows it to be a below-bumper mount. It is not. And as I already have a winch, I can't use this (I've already ordered a replacement). As to the hitch itself, as with all Reese/DrawTite products, well built and designed. If above-the-bumper works for you, I would recommend this to you.

This hitch mounts on top of the bumper instead of underneath. It interferes with the factory installed Hella fog lights and an after market brush guard I added to get me through the west Texas brush. In addition being on top of the bumper increases the possibility of a radiator or AC puncture by the trailers hitch if you pull in to far when trying to hook up. You need a Curt model 31028 that mounts under the bumper instead.

Install takes about 1 hour in realistic terms...there will always be someone who says they did it in 15 minutes.Awesome addition to my Swiss Army knife ( otherwise called a jeep). Double check on the paint cause it might chip real easy...mine did, just put some touch up and your good to go - its a jeep.
