The odd shape of this ball is designed to improve the reaction time of a goal keeper by bouncing unpredictably.You will notice this with low shots on goal where the ball will slow and and speed up unexpectedly, similar to how a ball moves on a rough dirt grass field. It won't really change direction. I was hoping that I would be able to bounce the ball hard off the turf causing it to bounce in a random direction, this isn't the case. The first bounce is quite predictable.The keepers got a kick out of it (no pun intended) and the were excited to experiment which is a plus all it's own.
