These freezers will last decades, but replay need replacing every 5 years.Super easy to replace this starter relay. Unplug freezer, pull out old one relay (use flathead screwdriver to softly wedge the old one off), plug in new, re-attach the 2 wires, plug in freezer and watch it freeze! Good for another 5 years.

It was a cheap and easy fix to a broken Hotpoint Chest Freezer HCM5SMAWW I bought two in case one fails as the original one did.
