About this item

  • Provides 4 amplified output ports with Active Return for use with broadband cable TV services including cable modems. All ports are LOSSLESS both forward and reverse. This is a true lossless 4-port splitter. Not recommended for use with OTA Antennas, use a PASSIVE Return amplifier instead. Not compatible with satellite systems.
  • This product is MoCA capable and supports MoCA networks at 1125-1525MHz. MODEM port provides a connection point for VoIP equipment, so that a power failure will not affect services. Compatible with all standard and digital Cable TV services, including the "Triple Play" phone service.
  • 6 kV surge protection for protection against lightning strikes. The powder coated housing provides excellent corrosion resistant protection against salt fog and rust. PTC Short-Circuit Protected UL Listed Adaptor - Self-resetting circuit protection provides safe protection against short-circuits to minimize outage times.
  • This kit includes a 3' super flexible connection cable, instructions, and two F59 termination caps for unused ports. Everything pictured in the listing is included. Connection cable is for POWER connection only, not for signal connection.
  • Using this product with a cable modem may provide more stable connections. A more stable broadband connection will generally provide better streaming and data throughput performance. You don't need to have a MoCA network to use this amplifier. It will work great as a normal cable TV or OTA signal amplifier.

The PCT-VC-F14-AN1 amplifier provides complete amplification and home networking support in one package. First, the F14A is designed to amplify your incoming cable (or antenna) signal and distribute it to up to FOUR separate locations. It takes the incoming signal, boosts it about 7x, and then outputs that same signal to all of the output ports (except the MODEM/Bypass port). This provides you with a strong coaxial signal to all of your locations in your home. The PCT VC-F14A supports all cable and OTA TV signals, and provides a MODEM port which is active even during system or power failure - to provide a signal to your cable modem or other communications device. In addition, the F14A supports MoCA (Media over Coaxial Alliance) signals, which operate outside the normal TV range (1125 to 1525 MHz). A MoCA network uses coaxial cables—like the cords that screw into the back of your TV—to connect your modem to the internet. Since most homes only have one or two Ethernet ports, utilizing the coaxial cables (traditionally used to connect your television to set-top boxes and cable TV in each room) gives you more options to connect to wired internet throughout the house. The PCT VC-F14A supports the transmission of MoCA signals over your existing coax cable, while also blocking those signals from leaving your home - through the use of a MoCA blocking filter on the INPUT of the amplifier. PCT amplifiers have precision machined F ports (conforms to SCTE standards) with beryllium copper seizure mechanisms to provide optimal distribution and amplification of your RF signals. You don't need to be using MoCA to take advantage of the great performance and quality of PCT broadband amplifiers.

Bought this to boost a low modem signal, it seems to be doing the job. Not getting dropped at all and it is a little faster also. Was very easy to setup, just read info sheet with port numbers plug everything in and go. You will need one short cable line to go back into your TV or modem so make sure you have that on hand. This is the first booster I have bought and am very happy with the purchase.

I previously had a 4-way bypass splitter set up with my cable service and MOCA setup, which worked well. Then I needed an extra output for another room and unfortunately I could not find a 5-way splitter to limit the signal loss on each port, so I bought a 6-way bypass splitter. The signal loss on the 6-way was much higher, so my cable boxes were constantly losing data connection and the TV guide wasn't working properly. Also, my MOCA setup still had decent download speed, butnit was unstable and the upload speed was limited to 30mbps. I found this powered MOCA splitter and it seems to be working as advertised. So far, the cable boxes have consistent data connection and my MOCA setup has stable download speeds plus the upload speed has increased to 50mbps, which is my service max. The only issue I had with this product is the power cable that's included cannot be used as one connector wasn't threaded. Thankfully I have extra coax cables, so that wasn't a big deal for me.

Hooked up to cable at our Marina and added a 2nd TV, so introduced a splitter and got this amp to try to improve picture. Addition of the splitter made no noticable degradation in signal /picture but when I installed the amp in place of the splitter both tvs pictures were terrible, unwatchable in fact. Removed the amp and went back to a splitter and the improvement was night and day. Even made sure unused outputs were properly terminated, and also tried w/o terminators just to rule out any external factors. Waste of money and time.

Works as expected except that the modem connection is not amplified. I understand the logic for this since the modem would lose signal during power failures. If you need modem amplification you can use the one of the 4 amplified ports but obviously signal loss will occur on power failure. Well built product.

Provides stronger signals abs faster respinse, but it also causes occasional glitches in the picture quality.
