Used them for some custom made truck leveling ramps used 1 1/2 screws to install them and bored out 1/4 wood to drop them in flush. Reliable Hardware is the best place to get supplies from I use quite a bit of there hardware.

For the price I was expecting a flimsy knockoff, which might have been okay for this project, but the handles are nice and robust. These were purchased for a box to hold emergency road supplies in the back of a compact SUV. As a musician I thought it would be a cool look to wrap the plywood box in black vinyl upholstery covering and put these recessed road case style handles on the ends. I've built custom road cases and equipment racks before and I'd buy these again for those projects.

These handles are pretty stout. Springs are strong so they won't ever rattle with bass from speakers. FYI-you will either have to cut a hole for the recessed portion or do what I did and just dig out a rectangular channel into the wood with a router. After doing that, they fit in perfectly and were nice and flush. My 4x12 guitar cabinet is about 80 lbs and these hold the weight nicely. Very sturdy and well built. 10 screws (not included) hold it securely to the wood. Highly recommend these handles for any similar project.

some spring loaded handles are better suited to 3/8th or 1/2".These handles have a very low profile. They are thin and sturdy. Accurate pricing.Will be sure to return for more.Would like to see more options.
