I wore out my last de-burring tool and bought this. I have several other case prep tools from this company and really like them. They are great quality and value. This tool is no different and does the job well. I will keep buying their stuff.

This is my fourth or fifth time to order replacement tools for my case trim and prep center. As I process tons of brass and shoot a lot these items are considered consumables In my opinion. Most casual home reloaders I’m sure this tool would last you years if not a lifetime. However with my use I process 6,000-8,000 rifle cases per year. So occasionally I do replace them. This so the first time I’ve had to replace my outside chamfer/deburr tool, and so far it’s holding up very well. My inside VLD chamfer tool gets replaced yearly due to use. But their case trimmer and pilots also are very high quality. I would recommend MJC tools to any home reloader looking for quality tools at an affordable price point.

I wish I would have tried this sooner. I have a Lyman power station and the chamfer bits that came with it lasted about 500 rounds. I spent $50 on the Rcbs carbide version first. It's overly complicated and almost too sharp. It would dig into freshly annealled brass and just about ruin it. This McJ version works much better and seems to be very durable.

I purchased this for my Lyman Case Preparation Xpress Center to replace the OEM deburring bit that came with it. The original Lyman bit was not cleaning up my .223 brass whatsoever, and was in fact causing the lip to "roll" slightly to the outside and leaving a significant burr around the case mouth lip that could be easily felt with a finger-tip or finger-nail. The chamfering end of the Wilson chamfer / deburring tool (the "bullet" shaped tool, with the chamfer and deburr ends on the opposite sides of one machined piece) did the absolute best to cleanly shave the outside edges of the brass case mouths to get them flush with the rest of the case neck, but Wilson does not produce such a bit separately that is threaded on one end and that will fit into most case prep multi-station units. So I ordered the MCJ version instead. It performs admirably, certainly better than the Lyman chamfering bit, but not quite as well as the Wilson hand-held tool. For small batches (under 1-200 pieces) the Wilson will produce better results, but for a case prep station bit this MCJ version will work better than the original Lyman bit.

With the VLD chamfering tool it makes for quick prep. I’m using it with the McJ bit holder in a 1/4†drive screwdriver and it’s better than doing it by hand.

I was tired of spending so much time deburring case mouths so decided to give this a try. Yes!! It works great.
