About this item

  • 1-9/16 inch width x 2-5/16 inch height Square Port; Ford V8 - FE 352, 390, 410, 428 (includes Tbird and Cobra Jet), Manifold and Some Headers, 2/Set
  • Includes Thunderbird 1961 - 1964
  • There are no rubber binders or composite materials in Remflex exhaust gaskets so they will not shrink or harden due to time or temperature eliminating the need to go back and continually retighten your flange bolts
  • Heating and cooling of the exhaust system causes header and manifold flanges to warp resulting in gaps between the head and header which Remflex exhaust gaskets seal completely due to the thickness and compressibility of the 100 percent flexible graphite

Fits: 352 (66' Car, '65-'67 Truck), 390 ('66-'71 Car, '68-'76 Truck), 410 Mercury ('66-'67), 428 ('66-'70), Including Thunderbird ('61-'64) and 428 Cobra Jet - Manifold & Header ('66-'67). All FE gaskets have "16 Bolt Hole Pattern". Use the 8 bolt holes needed - the other 8 bolt holes do not impact the performance of the gaskets in any way. (See Part Numbers 3009, 3015, 3047, 3050 and 3051 for additional FE Port Sizes & Applications). Remflex Exhaust Gaskets are soft and compressible so the suggested torque for each gasket, which is generally much lower than factory torque, is listed on the back of each package. Remflex is made in the USA so as to control every step of the manufacturing process guaranteeing a superior product that you can rely upon. Remflex's unique flexible graphite material has been proven for more than 30 years in industrial applications, where temperatures routinely exceed 2000 degrees-day after day, week after week, year after year. For over 10 years Remflex has been bringing this technology to automotive enthusiasts of all kinds to eliminate exhaust leaks for good. Experience has shown that no gasket "should" be reused if you want a reliable seal, therefore Remflex do not sell or market gaskets as reusable even though it have been told that they have been reused successfully in the past. Do not use sealants of any type with Remflex gaskets. The sealant burns out rapidly leaving a gap which creates an exhaust leak. Remflex Exhaust Gaskets are good to 3000 degrees which far exceeds the temperature rating of any sealant.

The gasket says it fits a Ford FE engine...it does fit the motor, but the gasket is HUGE. It hangs over a mile around the manifold. I wanted this gasket as my exhaust manifolds are not as flat as they once were and this gasket is great at sealing up irregular surfaces. I contacted the company and they were excellent. They explained the gasket can be cut down to match the manifold exactly. The gasket is made to fit a few different applications, so it is not an exact fit to the FE block. They even sent me a few pieces of manifold material to try and learn the best way to cut it and sent a HD set of scissors. They went WAY beyond what they had to do. I was very impressed.

My 68' Ford truck had a very, very bad exhaust leak. This gasket worked to resolve the problem. Do not over torque your manifold bolts. The packaging has torque specs for this gasket.

These are great gaskets if you're working on a older 390fe

Just install these on my 1965 F100 that has a 390 fe . I had replaced the manifolds and use whatever gaskets came with them and I fought exhaust leaks for quite a while until I stumbled on these doing research. Installed them over the weekend and the motor is dead quiet. You could tell they're made very high quality and they should last quite a while.

I love how these seal the gaps on uneven manifold and heads. My exhaust manifold gasket was blown right at the front driver's side cylinder (#5). When removing the manifold, I broke one of the bolts on the top side of the head. I was able to put this gasket in, and it sealed the gap at the broken bolt location for two years before I was able to pull the motor and fix it properly. The gasket was still intact and holding when I removed the engine. I don't think any other gasket could have performed this job. The only complaint I have is that the slots to slide the gasket are on the top and not the bottom. That being said, I am using these again on the proper repair, even though my manifold faces are machined flat. The fact that I was able to cruise the T-Bird for two years without more exhaust manifold headaches was definitely worth the $40.

Huge port size. I was fearful the ports would be too big. Fit great. Easy to install (as easy as any other) and leaks fixed.
