This head works great on my generic 70's Japanese banjo. Took some trial and error to figure out what size I needed but this one was the winner. I'm just learning how to play so I don't have anything to compare it to. To my untrained ear it sounds great.

REMO has a long history of quality. I chose this one after my local music store couldn't get my order straight. This went on a restoration project and it came out beautiful!
