I was impressed with how heavy these were. There is a lot of glass in the lenzes, and that implies the optics are very good. It states it in the ad, but as a reminder, they DO NOT come with a track to put them on. It also states the remote control does not come with batteries. I don't know why vendors don't include necessary batteries with their products. $60 bucks for the lights, and they can't afford to include a couple of AAA batteries?UPDATE: In their questions, one askes "Q1: I have multiple remote controls. How can I control everything with just one remote control?" The answer given doesn't answer the question. I just found out myself that the remote control to these spot lights is NOT "IR" or infrared controlled. They apparently are using "RF" or radio frequencies. So a universal remote control meant to learn and control an assortment of things won't work with THIS remote control. I tried learning it with a learning remote, and it didn't work, and I know the learning remote was working because I tested it with a known IR control. I dropped my rating on this one point because of the seller not revealing this. It is pretty important information.

I like these lights a lot, for several reasons. They have a lot of light output, 800 lumens, and have good control over color temperature and brightness. They are a great set of light to add to an existing track. I have typical needs where I only need a modest amount of light, in an office that doubles as a personal recording studio. But sometimes I want to light up other areas—I don't always need my book cases lit up, but with these I can point one at each bookcase, and turn them on as needed. Or light up behind my gear so I can get are the cabling better for changes.The great thing for this use is a physical remote—I can control these from my desk without searching for the right app on my phone. The lights remember their last settings through power downs, so they can be switched off the wall and come back next time in their proper setting. Also, while some controllable lights have a delay turning on, these snap on instantly.These are spots, as advertised, but they are so bright would can back them off and cover larger areas. Or just use all four to created a wide wash of light. So compact, so bright.In the photo example, I'm comparing two of them to my existing much larger par 20 in lighting three blue sound panels. you can see the center par 20 is a flood, but not nearly as bright. I have better uses for these lights, but this allowed me to compared them in one simple photo—in this case, the 6000K setting brings out the blue of the cloth best.

I recently renovated my home and installed H-track lighting in several areas to highlight some of my photography artwork. Full disclosure: I got these track lighting heads through Amazon Vine, but my review is my honest opinion, as always.These come in a pack of 4, which was perfect for my needs. The included remote is a huge bonus for me. It's so convenient to adjust the warmth and dimming to fit the mood, all without leaving my seat. The lights themselves are made of metal housing, so I’m very satisfied with their build quality. Installation was straightforward, and they’re up and running without any connection issues.A word of caution: These are only compatible with H-track. Make sure you verify your track type before buying, as I’ve made this mistake before and was stuck with lights I couldn’t use. Moreover, I couldn’t find information on cUL, CSA or cETL certification on the product so I have to assume they’re not certified in Canada. I was hesitant to use them, but my friend who is an electrician inspected them and told me that he couldn’t find any concern with the wiring. If you don’t feel comfortable doing that, don’t buy them.I’ve had dimmable lights in the past that start to flicker on the lowest dimmable setting. These haven’t, so far. I'm hoping that this doesn’t change with extended use. The rotatable design is another advantage for my use case, allowing me to direct the light precisely onto the wall art.One thing I’ve noticed is that they tend to get somewhat hot with extended use and when they’re fully bright. They don’t seem to have the best heat dissipation. Although these are built from an aluminum casing, I think some sort of venting on the side would’ve been perfect.Overall, these lighting heads are convenient and a flexible solution for highlighting artwork or accent lighting, thanks to their remote control, dimming and color temperature adjustments, and rotatable design. The metal construction provides a sense of durability, although the heat dissipation could be improved. When I opened the box, right off the bet, they looked nice but much smaller than the other sets I have. Also, once I held them in my hand, I could tell the quality was not on par with some other similarly priced spotlights. Also, you'll need the right track, which is actually hard to get, or at least in my case, it was hard to get one locally.Aside from that, there are some advantages to these lights. The fact that they come with a remote control that allows you to adjust the brightness - the dimming feature - is a nice touch. You can also use the remote to control the temperature, which is a really nice feature. I got my lights in the kitchen, and I set the temperature to match my cabinets! Also, the small form factor makes the lights low profile, which is good.I took a peek inside since I read some other comments that said the bulb couldn't be replaced. They are soldered LED. And because of that, you can't replace them. But unless you damage the setup, they should last you a long time. Also, since they are LED, they have some advantages over traditional bulbs, like not causing the annoying flicker and being energy-efficient.Overall, they're functional, and they look nice. The installation is easy. I use them in different areas - some are in my kitchen, and I have them installed them in the kitchen, pointing at the counter. So far, so good.

I wanted to try these to replace my outdated '80s fixtures, and they work very well. The quality is impressive, featuring high-grade aluminum construction in a sleek black finish that adds a modern touch. They’re designed for H-style tracks and have a unique zoom feature that lets you adjust the beam angle, making highlighting artwork or specific areas easy. The lights are anti-glare, flicker-free, and run cooler than old halogens, with a lifespan of about 40,000 hours. Installation was simple, and they feel very high quality overall.One drawback: No safety certifications are noted for Canada/USA (CSA, ESA, ETL). Otherwise, I recommend these.

These are great value if you already have H track installed and want to add a few more lights.Not only are these super easy to install if you have the track, but they will use very little power because of the LED bulb.I don't think you can replace these LED bulbs though, however they should last longer than halogens would.The quality on these is good and the entire piece is metal that is nicely machined and assembled. Before they are assembled in manufacturing it looks like they powdercoat or specially paint these white, but a good white, not the very glossy white that some lights have which to me look quite unsightly.I saved the best feature for last. The dimming feature on these is simply awesome. With a single remote you can control these lights. Not only the dimming but you can switch them on and off. So that differentiates them from the same looking spotlights that usually come as a kit together with H track sections. That is why the cost of them is slightly more than you might expect for additional spotlights.Beware of one issue however... It is hit or miss on whether or not lighting purchased on Amazon is CSA approved. In Canada, any lighting or electrical products must be CSA approved and carry the stamp or label saying so on the lights themselves.While I do agree that these seem like they are good quality and unlikely to spontaneously combust and cause a fire... I am no expert and that is just a superficial opinion formed by looking at the quality from the outside of the light. Just keep in mind that IF anything were to happen, such as a fire, and the cause is determined to be from one of these lights, you may lose your entire home because insurance won't pay out. You see, insurance companies LOVE sending investigators out to the scene of the fire to inspect the items that caused the fire. They WANT to be able to decline your claim. That is how they save millions on claims every year. Just some food for thought. Check and make sure that they have CSA certification because mine did not.
