For two tools, they are a great price and they are the only tool that is spaced close enough to work on the MC4 connector of my panels. Even though the plastic tabs can break (one of my first two did break), it is nice that the tabs bend a little so you can fit them in you connector if the spacing isn't exactly perfect. For the price, they are great.

The basic solar connector provides a secure, waterproof connection between solar panels and external wiring. If you need to disconnect them, it can be a challenge. This tool makes it pretty easy. That's my primary use for this tool. I keep one in the battery box I charge with solar panels. Once I'm done and breaking down the setup, having this tool available makes the job much easier.I typically do not assemble solar connectors onto cables, but this tool would make that much easier also. Sure, you could grab the nut with pliers and tighten, but you run the risk of slipping and damaging the connector. One of these holds the body securely as you use the other to tighten the nut. No risk of damaging the connector, no slip, and no leaks. It's the right tool for the job.

If using portable solar panels where frequent connecting and disconnecting is needed, these assembly tools are really hand to have on hand to make it quick and easy.

The tools I received did not work with the MC4 connectors on my solar Renogy panels I have. I had to sand a bevel on the prongs to allow it to fit and open the connectors properly. It appeared as if the tools were just never finished coming out of the molds.

Se ven fuertes, muchos otros acesorios son debiles y se rompen en la parte que se usa para desconectar los MC4, este si se ve fuerte, solo que si cuesta algo de trabajo acostumbrarse a usarlo
