This is by far the Best Video Doorbell Camera on the market today! I’ve had the other very popular video doorbell camera for years now and it always have connectivity issues with my WiFi plus I paid for years now their annual subscription. I was amazed how awesome this Reolink camera works and with the microsd card I don’t even need a subscription plus it syncs to my WiFi 5g and works so much better than the other popular brand .The video quality is awesome and it even has a Birds Eye view. I was so impressed I purchased one for my business as well and can view my home and business cameras in one app and it’s free of any annual subscription fees!

Very easy installation, paired with a hub pro for local storage (have other Reolink cameras), integrared seamlessly with home assistant, very good (rechargeable) battery life. Motion/person detection is very good. If you wish, you can literally block any access to the internet and it'll still work completely locally, losing some features that depend on the web (remote access, alerts and viewing). This is now the only camera brand I'll allow in my house.

Picture quality is great. Wide angle lense and sensitivity works very well.Things to improve:Could not connect to NVR yet, so, NVR does not see it or record a video.Having SD card inside the doorbell is 50% meaningless. The recording is easy to remove by a criminal.Very easy to break mounting/brackets.To charge the doorbell you need to take it off the wall. I don't know how many times you can do it before the mount breaks.Short battery life as I discovered later on.Still very good doorbell in my opinion.

I really wanted to like this doorbell, I really did. But it has too many flaws to justify its price. I have a little over two weeks with the camera and the battery has stopped charging while connected to the existing doorbell wiring. And yes, my wiring is within the recommend voltage.Other issues consist of image quality such as the HDR, auto brightness, auto shadows/contrast. All of which are absolutely horrible. I understand why so many people have complained on the actual Reolink website about this product. The fact that their old generation doorbell camera is still getting better reviews today, should tell you that this doorbell camera was not ready for production. My opinion and suggestion to you would be go with the older generation doorbell or find a different brand with what you are looking for.

IMO, it's not better than Ring and the interface is not as simple, but it works. Contrary to many reviews, setup was HORRIBLE but that's mainly due to the internet service provider (ISP) you are using and the firewalls that block communication. Long story short, you may have to connect your phone to the same wifi network for initial set up, and half way through (when it fails to connect to device) you have to DISCONNECT phone from wifi and finish the set up using phone data. After that, setup and installation was smooth but turned a 15m process into 1.5hrs with troubleshooting. For WIRELESS (not WiFi model which is wired), there was ZERO information on how to hard reset to restart the setup so here it goes. There is no reset button and the power button functions as the power AND hard reset. Long press (5 sec) to turn on doorbell camera and while ON, press the power button 3 consecutive times to force a reset. I had to do this because it "connected successfully" to the internet/modem but failed the last step when connecting to the app/device. You CAN'T fix this issue unless you hard reset and redo the setup with the steps mentioned above. I could have saved myself a hr or so had they put this in the instructions pamphlet or simply added a reset button like every other device in the world.

I just replaced a Ring doorbell with this nifty Reolink model. I am a big fan of Reolink cameras and have been wanting for them to come out with a doorbell camera. I was really excited to make this purchase. I just installed it a few days ago and it’s working perfectly fine. My biggest issue with Ring doorbells is having to pay a monthly subscription to have access to recorded videos. But what I love about Reolink cameras is that you can add a micro SD card to save your recordings without having to pay for a subscription. Another neat feature is that you can have different audio settings depending on what you choose (ie. person, package, vehicle, etc.) along with a different ringtone when someone pushes the doorbell button.Battery life seems decent and this is so much easier to remove for charging than my old Ring doorbell. I only wish there was an option for solar charging.

One of the best doorbell with features never seen in other doorbells but...But there is a problem which i am discussing with Reolink is that this new 2k doorbell the below don't work which maybe a new firmware needed of a but with the current application need to be updated.1. Says format successfull but SD Card still not formated.2. Album shows empty so you can not delete unwanted captures.3. Wide view doesn't work it flips but picture still small n not Wide. The rest is 100% perfect 👌 and the best of that u can limit the detection area so card and people passing far are not detected, the detection will tell if it's a person or a car.I may return this product becuse Amazon seems they couldn't fix my problem because the DoorBell was from Germany

Good: No cloud subscription, works with existing chimes, easy to install, camera is of adequate quality. Seems to drip charge off the existing wiring. Supports a wide range of voltages from the wiring.Bad: Really needs better API and integration possibilities (for example to work with Home Assistant, or Apple HomeKit - to do that you need the Reolink hub). Notifications seem really hit and miss, sometimes we get them, sometimes we don't, sometimes we get too many - at least the doorbell always works. App is the usual badly developed poor UX from China nonsense. It's a little too easy to remove.
