After 23 years in our house, the shower knob broke apart. This was a two minute fix for our problem and fit perfectly.

It was hard to pull out and push in my tubs fawcet. I bought a MOEM clone cartridge that didn't have the little U shaped thing that anchors it. It takes alot of playing with to get that U shaped anchor in and I broke the old one and had to buy a kit of 2 U shaped anchors and lub. I got it working and it was so much easier to turn on and off the water, but the old knob was flopping around. As much as I tightened it still floppy. I guess I lost the little washer. I bought this knob because it came with the washer and it works great. It was more trouble than I thought it would be to do the DIY thing but after all the cursing I felt a personal accomplishment and know I saved some money. I may have only needed the washer but not sure. This kit comes with the very attractive knob with a hot and cold dot that reminds you of which way to turn it and it has the washer and a screw that are all made to fit. It may save you some time and some cussing if you buy the kit.

I bought this because the handle in my tub came unscrewed and was just ready to be replaced, this is a nice choice and looked good, but it was not compatible with my tub fixture. I am not sure how to tell which one will and will not fit but do you research.

Under limited use (Perhaps 5-6 times) this knob broke. the cracks radiate from the center post where the securing screw exists outward. While the knob looks nice, the reality is the material it is molded from is lightweight and less sense than the original rendering it brittle and incapable of handling normal push/pull stress. It is just a loss for me as I discovered the damage beyond the 30-day return window. I removed this junk and reused the original that after 25 years of use is still working well.
