The Ceramic Dome Water Filter (Set of 1)

Filter dome made of highly compressed ceramic with diatomic properties. The surface of the dome consists of millions of pores that measure 0.2 to 0.5 micron in diameter, while most inorganic compounds is 0.5 to 1.0 microns in size. The ceramic filter dome sits in the top holding tank. When contaminated dirty tap water passes through the pores in the ceramic filter, it will trap dirt, debris, contaminants before the water passes to the "clean" side of the filter. The expected useful life of the ceramic filter is 1,000 gallons or 1 year, whichever comes first. The normal flow rate is approximately 1-1/2 to 2 hrs. for every gallon. When the ceramic is in use for the first time, the flow rate might be slow, but it should speed up in a few days. The ceramic filter dome should be handled with care. Do not use the ceramic filter if it is cracked or damaged.

I bought this item with my own money, with no remuneration from anyone of any type. No coupons, no free item for a review. This is what I think of the product in my own words after having used it.I installed this filter in my Alexa as soon as it arrived. It is very easy to install. It filters fairly quickly. I have had no problems with it whatsoever. My water tastes great, so I know filtering is going on. I don't know about anyone else but I cannot continue to purchase Alexa brand filters because they have increased so much in price. So for now this will do. As long as it gets out some junk it's still better than straight tap water.

I was excited to try this ceramic dome filter, but unfortunately, it arrived broken. The dome had multiple cracks, making it completely unusable. I expected better quality control. I will be requesting a replacement or a refund. Disappointed with this purchase experience.
