Step 1
1. Place the black cylinder in the refrigerator to cool (when the refrigerator temperature is 0 ℃ ~ 8 ℃, cooling for about 10 minutes, when the refrigerator temperature is below 0 ℃, cooling for about 5 minutes).
2. Compress the black cylinder inward, which makes it easier to mount it on the window opener bracket.
Step 2
3. Adjust the A hole and B hole in a straight line.
4. Let the black cylinder pass through both A and B holes.
Step 3
5. Let the short buckle inserted into the C hole or D hole (when the open window distance is greater than 42cmin/16.53in, choose C hole, when the open window distance is less than 42cmin/16.53in, choose D hole).
6. When the short buckle is inserted into the C hole (or D hole), let the short buckle pass through the small hole of the black cylinder metal bar at the same time, press down hard and fasten firmly.
Step 4
7. Pull both sides of the window opener bracket outward with force (preferably with the assistance of 2 people), so that the G thread and H hole are close together.
8. Turn the G thread and let the G thread fix on the H hole (note that you should not use excessive force to avoid breaking the metal bar of the black cylinder, if it is difficult to operate, please put the black cylinder in the refrigerator again to cool).
Step 5
9. Put the long buckle through the E and F holes at the same time, and press hard to make the long buckle firmly fastened.
Step 6
10. Fix I and J on both sides of the window.
11. Note: If the window is made of wood, it can be fixed directly on top of the window; if the window is made of metal, please add rectangular pieces of metal at the fixing place.

- Minimum opening temperature: 15-25℃
- Fully open temperature: 30℃/ 86℉
- Max. opening distance: 45cm / 18''
- Max. load: 7-15kgs / 15-33lbs
If the window opener installed on the window does not work
- The installation method may be wrong, please follow the video and instruction manual to reinstall.
- The black cylinder is stuck, you can use a drop of oil on the inside of the thread of the black cylinder, and then manually stretch the black cylinder several times.
- If the above methods are not applicable, please put the black cylinder into 35-45℃ water for 30 minutes, after 30 minutes if the black cylinder has extension, it means the black cylinder can operate normally (maybe you installed it wrong, install it again according to the video and instruction manual), if there is no extension, it means the black cylinder is damaged, we will replace the black cylinder for you.

This replaced an original cylinder that failed after only 7 years... Perfect fit, perfect function. I'll report back if this one doesn't do as well as the original. ;)Good value, especially when compared with the cost of a whole replacement lift mechanism from Juwel.Easy to install:-- Squeeze and release the mechanism from the front face bracket.-- Remove the lid section from the cold frame and flip it so the mechanism faces up.-- Remove the locking clip that secures the end of the rod in the middle of that mechanism.-- Unscrew the old rod from the nut in the middle, noting the direction the cylinder threads in to it.-- Chill the new cylinder in the fridge/freezer so it is fully collapsed.-- Thread the new cylinder into that nut in the middle, noting the same direction. For some reason mine threaded in one way a lot more readily than the other.-- Manually flex the mechanism open to allow the end of the cylinder rod to fit into the same hole the old rod passed in to, and reinstall that clip to secure it there.-- Replace the lid section on the cold frame.-- Re-engage the mechanism with the front plate by gently squeezing those two arms together, and engage the pins in the holes in the front plate.Takes just minutes with the cylinder cold. There's more fight than you need if you are trying to wrestle a warm extended cylinder against the lift springs. Chill for a few while it chills for a few, and you'll find it's much less of a fight.

Brought to replace the cylinder on a non- working greenhouse window cylinder. Arrived promptly, was easy to fit and works perfectly. An excellent but.

Der Ersatzzylinder ist insgesamt 34,2cm lang. Der Durchmesser des Zylinders ist 16mm.Die Kolbenstange ist eingfahren 10cm lang und 6mm im Durchmesser. Bei Temperaturerhöhung im Gewächshaus dehnt sich die Flüssigkeit im Zylinder aus und drückt die Kolbenstange heraus, wodurch sich das Fenster öffnet. Mir gehen die Dinger immer im Winter kaputt. Es wirdempfohlen, die Zylinder im Winter auszubauen.

Sur la photo on voit le mécanisme entier en réalité il n'y a que le vérin dans la commande. Je suis tombé dans le piège!

This was a replacement for a faulty cylinder piston, fitted in less than a minute, only time will tell if it works ok as it's still quite cold at the moment.
