I had a generally good experience with this keycap set. Now, my experience wasn't perfect, but this is definitely the right product for the job.I'll start out with the cautions first. Watch the videos and understand what you're getting into. Be in the mindset that you could possibly break someting and make a bad situation worse.I would also start out by suggesting that you do NOT try and replace the arrow keys if at all possible. They are very difficult. It looks like they would be much easier to replace if the keyboard was first removed from the case, but that's getting into pretty serious disassembly. My system is model number A2442, M1 MacBook Pro 14"For me, my issues were:- The tab key just would not sit right for me and I had to keep my original keycap. To attempt to resolve that, I'm going to order another set and see how that one fares. I don't think I damaged the hinge or the metal bar so hopefully it was just an unlucky tab keycap. I'm not going to remove stars or ask for a refund over that because this seller is doing us a huge service to make this repair/replacement affordable.- I accidentally broke a piece of one of the hinges on one key. I just didn't use the right motion one time and broke it. Again, watch the videos, take your time, put your magnifiers on, etc. The key is on and works but it's a bit crooked as a result. I've ordered another Amazon seller's hinge kit, so I assume that one I replace the hinge it'll be good as new. It would be really great if this kit included even just a handful of spare hinges or if there was a kit that included both hinges and caps at a bit of a discount.- As mentioned above, the arrow keys.Overall, a great solution all things considered. Apple didn't really design the keyboard around replacing keycapls like this, and they don't sell spare keycaps. Even with all my mishaps I've still spent far less than this job would have been with Apple.Apple laptop keys generally get a worn down and "greasy" look from

Apple uses ABS plastics to fabricate the Macbook's keycaps. The keycaps are beautiful, but overtime, the friction between our fingers and the keycaps' plastic will smooth them out, creating a shiny effect. This is most noticeable on the most used keycaps - like space, modifiers and the vowel keys. This set of replacement keys is the solution - as far as I can see, these are identical to the Apple keys in terms of look, feel and quality. Please search Youtube for instructions how to replace the keys for your specific model, as this is a delicate job.

I accidentally ripped off an arrow key on my 2021 MacBook Pro (A2485) and needed to replace it. I double-checked and made sure this was compatible and that it fit perfectly. One more thing to add: If you broke the plastic hinge beneath the key, you must order those separately.Thankfully, the hinge on my arrow key was intact, and I only needed the keys. Now I have all the other keys in case I break another one. Be sure to use YouTube tutorials to help with the installation process. I spent over an hour trying to put it on. Take your time because the small hooks are incredibly sensitive.

Keys look perfect just like OEM, highly recommend. First order had a slightly broken pin but got it replaced.

I do wish there was more instruction and that the little bars required for long keys was provided but does the job and works like new

Broke a right arrow key on MBP 16 M1Pro, replaced easily with this, can barely tell that it's not OEM, and you have to use magnifying glass for that

At first I was a little nervous about getting these because even though the reviews said they look similar sometimes I get upset even with the slightest off-ness of color with things. These keys are BARELY indistinguishable from the original keys. You can tell when viewing them at an angle in specific light but from a top down view if I didn’t know which ones I replaced I wouldn’t be able to tell. Obviously some of my original keys have seen better days so I’d expect them to present a bit shinier. As for functionality they feel the same when hitting the keys. I’m a developer and I had to replace some pretty well loved keys. So I feel like I would notice if it was different. The little crowbar is a good tool too that will make it that much easier and probably safer to clean under keys next time (why I needed the replacements). Very happy with purchase and impressed given the price point.

Honestly, I cannot tell any differences between these and the original MacBook keycaps. This does require some skill to do properly, especially for the mods and spacebars that use stabilizer wires. The tool they provide helps a lot, its thin to reach under the keycaps and made of plastic which helps prevent any scratches you could accidently do with a metal tool, though a playing card and toothpick can also get the job done if your set does not come with the tool.

My OCD can see the tiniest difference in the thickness of the letters. They are ever so slightly thinner than the originals on my keyboard. I had to replace two keys. Is it enough of a difference to make me want to switch them all out? I think not.

The keys are good quality, but the mentioned crowbar was NOT included. So that created some headaches as I did not have anything thinner than a credit card.
