I have an old Firestick that still works fine for what I do, but the remote started freezing, sometimes after a minute, other times after an hour or even a day. To get it un-froxzenm i would have to take the battery out (removing just one worked), then put it back in, and the remote would work again, sometimes for a minute, but at lease I could use it! I tried a complete reset of the remote, but again it worked for an short time then was back to the same freeze-up behavior. The new one was very inexpensive, and seems to be an exact replacement. Amazon knows what firestick I have, and on the page with the new remote, there was a little message that confirmed that I was looking at the right replacement. The pairing went fine, and it didn't take any other button pushing (in my case) for the new remote to control the TV and the soundbar. If there are any problems, I'll update this review but if a few weeks pass and you don't see any complaints, it means the remote is working well.

Our remote stopped working and this worked immediately! I followed the instructions and it was an easy set up process

Remote works good as a replacement. Directions to program new remote worked on the first try.

I bought this to replace a remote that was lost for the firestick. Setup was very simple and easy. It reliably works well.The only negative is every single time it connects, it asks me to update the security software. I have stopped letting it try to do so because it never progresses to completion but you can bypass the request simply pressing buttons on the remote

This remote has been a life saver. For the price that I paid for it was so worth it. For it not being an actual Amazon fire stick remote, button functionality, design, volume features works like a brand name. Durability perfect. I would recommend this product to my friend and family.

Was looking to replace remote in kids room. Could not get to work. It was another problem not remote so i replaced with a new fire stick. I then paired remote with my fire cube in Livingroom. I can not tell you How convient it was to have 2 remotes for same devices. no more passing remote back and forth wit wife. I am getting another for bedroom.

This is a cheap knockoff. Held it side by side with my original Fire remote, and the differences are obvious. Print on the buttons is cartoonishly large, buttons stick up more than the original, material of the buttons is cheap and spongy. Not like the original at all. Returned.
