The remote to my insignia TV stopped working. I needed a good replacement. I ordered a new remote and that stopped working. I got this remote and it was very easy to pair and it works quite well. I hope it doesn’t stop working like the other ones.

Bought this because our 3 year old broke the battery cover on the original remote to our Insignia Fire TV. Programming was easy... Too easy, but I'll get back to that.. it worked perfectly for 2 weeks then all of a sudden one day the only thing that was working was the power button. Next day it didn't even work. Replaced the batteries and the only thing that would happen was a blue light would flash one time briefly in the top right corner every time I put the second battery in. Started a replacement on Amazon the options were return the item and a replacement will be sent or just get a refund and send the defective item back. I chose replace the item and I'll just send this one back since it worked pretty well until the day before yesterday. Just messing around with the remote trying to reprogram it 3 different ways from watching YouTube videos my 9 year old comes into the living room and says his TV is acting weird. Netflix is popping up and then Hulu but he's not touching his remote... Here's where the easy programming comes into effect. Still holding the replacement remote that quit working, I walk in his room and press buttons on the replacement remote and it's controlling his TV which isn't an insignia nor a fire TV. Just a regular tv with a fire stick plugged in the back. Had to reprogram the remote again to the living room tv and it works perfectly again. Replacement for the replacement is on the way but I'll probably keep it as a backup if this one keeps working.

Good replacement remote. Works well but the buttons are a little stiff at first but improves the more you use it.....now if I could just get my puppy to stop stealing remotes 😂

Remote works ok. But it doesn’t want to turn off the tv. It takes several times before tv shuts off.
