QA: If the VOLUME+/-, MUTE, and Power buttons don't work after pairing the new remote with the TV stick or cube, how can I solve the problem?
A: Press the HOME button first, then navigate to SETTINGS > Equipment control > Manage Equipment > TV > Change TV. Follow the TV screen prompts to learn the functions. Once learning's done, the keys will work. It may happen with a soundbar at home.
QA: If it doesn't work after working for a while, how can I solve the problem?
A: If it hasn't been used for a long time, or if the TV and devices are connected with several remotes, it may lose connection occasionally. It's not broken, it just needs to be paired again.

I bought as a second remote for my 4K Firestick. It works fine, the buttons are slightly less responsive from the original that came with the firestick from Amazon. Not a deal breaker and for the price it can't be beat.Easy setup and no issues so far.

This is my first time replacing a remote for my Smart Fire TV, and it makes me question what happens if your old remote doesn't work anymore with all of the steps needed to setup a new remote it made me wonder. This remote was as easy as Amazon Fire TV allows it to be. This remote mostly works great, just like my original remote, but once in a while, I have to hit the volume up a few times in order to get it to respond. Only volume up does this happen. No matter what I do, it doesn’t work right. I have gone through multiple settings and it only works when batteries are taken out…that doesn’t control volume , mute, etc. I have to take out batteries every single time to make it function. Don’t buy. A piece of junk.

The basic remote functions actually worked even before pairing.Very easy to pair to my Fire TV. You can do it easily with or without having possession of the old remoteAll the buttons respond well.The app buttons give quick access to get to some apps I use often.Works very well.

You should get this replacement remote even if your fire tv remote is working fine. It's about an inch longer and has a power button (the original fire tv remote does not). The icon on the blue button is a speaker, which makes sense, instead of a blue swirl circle. The blue light seems brighter. This remote also has 5 more additional buttons! They include up/down and +/- buttons as well as setting, mirroring, and mute buttons. It's a pain not having a mute button on the original fire tv remote, especially considering the high volume of the automatic play ads. The Prime Video and Netflix buttons are still present but DirecTV and peacock have been replaced by Disney+ and Hulu. Rechargeable batteries seem to work as well as alkaline and are much less expensive (over time). I think it is more functional and easier to use than the original. Overall quality is an improvement. This remote is easier to find and easier to handle and operate. At this price, it's worth the upgrade, and you can always use the original fire tv remote as a backup.
