I have this on the bottom of my dog shelter in the winter. Not enough for sub zero temps, but good enough for California.

I like that this heat rock can be thermostatically controlled unlike most others.

Was a bit smaller than i expected and the heat is uneven. It warms up easily and the control is easy to understand. I used my infrared gun and found it to be uneven in what was the temperature as it ranged from 88 to 100 on the 96 degree setting. My beardie likes it so far and we are still playing trial and error to find the right temperature for him. Overall though i do recommend it if you reptile is on the smaller side.

I've read some stuff online that says heat rox aren't safe for lizards as they don't absorb heat from their belly's so they don't know when it's too hot and can get burned and it's hard to actually regulate the heat on it so we only turn it on to warm it up for like an hour then turn it off. It does what it's supposed to, smaller than what I expected, ok for the money.

We are new lizard owners. Our bearded dragon loves his hot rock and it looks nice in the tank. It's easy to operate and see what temp it is set at.

My daughter got this for her Tarantula, Zeta and she sits on it all the time...the spider, not my daughter.
