both my daughters got baby dragons for Christmas this year and they love them so they immediately wanted to get on Amazon with their gift cards to start buying things for their dragons. so they found all kinds of stuff on here for their enclosure including this basking stone it does hold the actual temp that you set it to on the control panel of the basking stone we tested that with my IR temp gun to make sure the dragons would not be harmed by it for the value of this basking stone you can't beat it

This heat rock doesn't heat at all. I set up to 104F and it barely was warm. I left all day and the temperature never increased. I tried different plugs and even different outlets and still the same issue. I think that's the reason my beardy doesn't go on top of it because isn't hot enough.

The rock seems to have a mind of its own when it comes to the temperature. It seems to disregard the set temperature and assumes a slight warming temp (around 90 F) no matter the setting. Also, you can only set the temp in 5 degrees increments.

I got this for my bearded dragons enclosure, i plugged it in and it looks nice, well made and i like you can adjust the temperature. I tested it out before placing it in with my BD and on lower settings it got a little warm after several mins, but when i put it on anything over 100 i felt like it might have gotten a bit too warm. Im going to get a heat gun and test it before thinking about putting it in the enclosure. Ive read some reviews others had similar problems with it and others had none. So just test yours before use

Good option to keep your reptile warm, it's durable, and well-made. Easy to use and it works as it should. I especially like that you get to control the temperature. Priced at a good value.

This works well for our beardie. I don’t want him to burn so I leave the basking rock at 91-100 degrees. I like the remote control on there. It doesn’t generate too much heat — I don’t mind because I’m afraid of hurting our beardie — we keep the rock under the warming light just as an extra warmer since we live in Alaska. Works for our baby dragon for now.

I was afraid to get something like this. I've read not to trust this type of warm rocks. They're known to fail and cause injuries to your pet. So far, a week in and it has kept a constant temperature with no issues, my bearded dragon seems to enjoy it. I have it plugged in into a smart plug so it won't stay on 24/7 just in case. Ill come back in a few months to update this review .
