Respirator Mask, Reusable Face Respirators with Filters, Gas Masks Against Chemicals/Organic Vapor/Formaldehyde

So this item is actually quite good. Ive seen reviews for this product from other people and I know the potential issues that are at hand and I do see some people making some statements that correlate to my own experience. First off the mask does fit quite well on my face and does a good job sealing around my mouth for separation and it helps prevent fogging.I wore this around the house for a few hours, Very Comfortably, to test it for fogging and even did some light workouts with it on. No complaints. I spot tested a few spots on the lens and seals with 91% and 70% Isopropyl alcohol and found it to be a suitable cleaning solution and proceeded to clean it entirely. It is in fact medical grade silicone which is actually a hybrid material with either TPE or polyethylene, which is very soft but has a mild odor (Normal) that should go away after some use (smells exactly like hospital oxygen masks). The strap retainers I could see being a problem in the future as the silicone ages and in the future should have a plastic shell around them for reinforcement which I think I am going to make with my resin printer. The intake check valves do have some deformation that could pose a slight problem but I ordered 3m replacements for $5.34 USD for the 6800 series mask. I will update to let you know if their compatible. The mouth cup also does not form a hermetic seal around the exhaust valve of the mask but with friction should be fine as long as there is adequate sealing around the outside edges of the mask but could in fact be improved on and is in fact a modification I am going to make with some epoxy and some special bonding primer (pentane and acetate).I plan to use this with 3m 6007, 3m adaptor 502 and 7093C all stacked. I will update on performance in future.Update, So after breaking in the mask a bit and wearing it for 3 days straight during manure season and wearing the 3m equivalent for 1 day I can comfortably say that after changing the clear silicone exhalation valves with some 3m silicone tpe/silicone valves the mask performed and fit identically to the 3m 6900. It passed the mask tests at work and protected me from pungent liquid human manure injection across the street for 3 days at home and it didn't fog or fail a single breath. Ive also since painted a car while wearing it in the booth for about 3 hours and it performed flawlessly there as well. Wonderful product, would recommend! Also the 3m filter combination I mentions at the beginning of my post worked and fit splendidly though I do recommend placing a single drop of silicone oil or a spritz of spray silicone (I use food grade silicone spray with teflon from CRC i get for 10 bucks from ace hardware) on the filter retention sealing rings of the mask as the rubber is stiff (supposed to be) when brand new and this will assist in not breaking off any of the 3 m style stab connectors when twisting to lock.

Not bad for the price. Comes with two sets of filters, I expected 3 because of the picture. Fits well, no quick release but is easy enough to remove and felt comfortable to me. No fog accumulated in the approx 5 min I have worn it. Slight rubber or chemical smell but didn’t really bother me. I believe I paid around $25ish seems worth it to me.

What was recommended for removal of some hazardous material. Glasses fit inside mask. It was comfortable for an hour at a time. Then glasses steamed with exertion (was wearing tyvek suit too). Got the job done though and the air filters fit the mask and were easy to attach. This mask seems perfect for someone who has to do a job where a respirator and face protection are important but are only needed occasionally. I cleaned the mask and can use again and buy replacement filters when needed. If I were doing this work full time, I would invest in something more substantial but am happy with this.

If you where the respirator in the proper position, the goggles will sit too high and you cannot see clearly out of them. You may be able to trim the goggles internal nose padding to improve the view, But, the bottom line is the googles will not work without modification. I can say, however, after working hours in insulation, I did not get any fiberglass fibers in my lungs, so I can say the respirator worked effectively for my project.

This respirator is the best item I have bought in a long time. I love it!! I'm a woman with regular size head/face and the respirator is very very easy to adjust for a perfect fit. I bought this respirator to use when I clean out my chicken coop. Previously, I wore shop googles and an N95 mask when cleaning the coop, but, the goggles always fogged up and dirty dust would leak through the sides of the mask. I knew it was very unhealthy to breath in chicken coop dust so I bought this respirator.I'm very happy with this respirator because the face mask doesn't fog up and dust does not leak in. It is a great product!
