I ended up not using all of the accessories , I keep the car escape within reach and in sight , if I'm in an accident there's going to be confusion , at least if I see it I can react quicker. I bought this instead of the hammer because if you should end up in the river ( and I remember some years ago seeing on the news where a bridge collapsed ) the hammer isn't effective under water but this with the spring loaded will. Just got these and have them hanging from the rear view mirror of mine and several of my friend's vehicles. I love that they are compact and easily accessible should they be needed. They are well-made and compact. Also like the fact that in a roll over you can still find them, unlike many of the other products that may be impossible to find should they be needed.

We have these clipped to our sun visors and they give us peace of mind that they're there in case we ever have to use them. Why wouldn't you have them...

It definitely works, because we had to use it to break a friend’s car window when she locked her keys in the trunk. But it took us quite a while to figure out how to use it, and I couldn’t look up instructions because we didn’t have reception. Instructions should be printed on the device! Also, she had to push really really hard to get it to work.
